The Combat Shotgun is a Shotgun in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was added in Season 9.
Functionality
Functionality[]
The Combat Shotgun is a longer ranged shotgun, with a fast fire rate. It is designed for longer ranged engagements than other shotguns, with its maximum damage taking longer to fall-off. As such, the weapon also has a tight spread. The Combat Shotgun reloads 2 shells at a time, and its reload time statistic is how long it takes for a zero ammo reload to a full magazine.
The Combat Shotgun is a Hitscan weapon that fires a spread of 10 pellets when both aiming down sights and hipfiring. Aiming down sights tightens the spread of pellets.
Damage falloff:
- Damage falloff begins at 13 meters (2.6 tiles).
- Damage decreases down to 88% of its maximum at 15 meters (3 tiles).
- Damage steadily decreases down to 68% of its maximum at 20 meters (4 tiles).
- Damage decreases down to 52% of its maximum at 30 meters (6 tiles)
- It deals damage until 60 meters (12 tiles).

- The Combat Shotgun can be quite effective at mid-range due to its tight pellet spread.
- Combining the Combat Shotgun with a Jetpack or any other mobility item that allows you to stay in air for a period of time can be very beneficial, allowing a mix of high damage and high mobility.
- The Combat Shotgun reloads 2 shells at a time, meaning that you can recover easily from getting pushed unexpectedly by an opponent.

- The Combat Shotgun has a very tight spread, and while in most cases this can be beneficial, when hipfired, it can be very punishing to miss a shot. Engaging an opponent with a Shotgun that has a more forgiving hipfire spread can be beneficial.

- Combat Shotgun resembles the Benelli M2 Super 90.[1]
- It is configured into a Taran Tactical M2 Ultimate 3 Gun, which is the exact same as the one that appears in John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.
- Combat Shotgun was also introduced at the exact same time as the film's debut.
- The way the player reloads the gun is very similar to how John Wick himself reloads it in the film, using a technique known as a Quad Load.
- In Chapter 4: Season 1, the Rare Combat Shotgun could only be obtained through the Tactical Armory Augment, with its Epic and Legendary rarities obtainable via weapon upgrading.
