Sharp Tooth Shotgun

Functionality[]

The Sharp Tooth Shotgun is a high damage, long range and slow firing shotgun, best suited for medium ranged combat. It holds up to 4 rounds and must be pumped between shots, resulting in a slow rate of fire. It excels in close to medium range combat with its ability to deal significant damage. It will still do significant damage at closer ranges, but is very punishing when missing a shot. The Sharp Tooth Shotgun can hit targets at medium range. The Sharp Tooth Shotgun reloads 1 shell at a time.

The Sharp Tooth Shotgun is a hitscan weapon, which fires a spread of 9 pellets when both aiming down sights and hipfiring. Aiming down sights tightens the spread of pellets.

Damage falloff:

• Damage falloff begins at 11 meters (2.2 tiles).
• Damage decreases down to 90% of its maximum at 15 meters (3 tiles).
• Damage decreases down to 80% of its maximum at 20 meters (4 tiles).
• Damage steadily decreases down to 63% of its maximum at 30 meters (6 tiles)
• It deals damage until 72 meters (14.4 tiles)

• The Sharp Tooth Shotgun is a very powerful shotgun in Battle Royale, at the cost of having a low fire rate and small ammo capacity of four rounds. A well-placed shot can break a target's shield completely or eliminate a target in one shot at close to medium ranges.
• This shotgun has a slower fire rate than many other shotguns. If you are reloading this shotgun, make sure to check for other players that can possibly attack you.
  • It is recommended to switch to a weapon with a high rate of fire, such as the Combat SMG or Suppressed Pistol, as the Sharp Tooth Shotgun is quite slow to shoot and is rather unpredictable at medium distances, sometimes dealing very low damage. A good strategy is to fire the Sharp Tooth Shotgun to deal high amounts of damage then switching to your fast firing weapon to eliminate the target.
• The Sharp Tooth Shotgun is capable of quickly destroying structures due to its high structure damage and absent damage drop-off till its maximum hitting range.
• In close quarters, other shotguns like the Maven Auto Shotgun can easily outpace the Sharp Tooth's slow firing, making it a high risk, high reward weapon. It is recommended to use the Sharp Tooth Shotgun if you are more confident in your abilities, especially with hitting headshots.
• When choosing between the Sharp Tooth Shotgun and the Infiltrator Pump Shotgun, the Infiltrator Pump Shotgun deals less damage at but has higher fire rate, but the Sharp Tooth Shotgun has a higher headshot damage cap and higher overall damage output. In a competitive setting, the Sharp Tooth is preferred over Infiltrator Pump due to its overall higher damage when used effectively.

• The Sharp Tooth Shotgun, while a powerful option due to its longer range capabilities and high damage, is outclassed by most other similar Shotguns due to the small magazine size of 4 shells. Using a faster firing, high magazine capacity Shotgun can easily overpower the Sharp Tooth Shotgun.
