  • Light Bullets - Ammunition - Fortnite Light Bullets are used mainly for Pistols and Submachine Guns, but is also used for some Assault Weapons. Out of the ammo types, the player can hold the most of this (max. 6,000), and typically it does the least damage per shot.
  • Medium Bullets - Ammunition - Fortnite Medium Bullets are used mainly for Assault Weapons, but is used for some Sniper Rifles, Pistols and Submachine Guns. The player can hold a lot of it (max. 4,000), but not as much as Light Ammo. As per its name, it deals a medium amount of damage per shot.
  • Heavy Bullets - Ammunition - Fortnite Heavy Bullets are used mainly for Sniper Rifles, including Bows, but some pistols use them as well. Not too much of them can be held (max. 1,000), but they deal high amounts of damage compared to other ammo types.
  • Shells - Ammunition - Fortnite Shells 'N' Slugs are used mainly for Shotguns, but they are also used by some non-shotgun weapons such as the Boom Bow and Hammercrush. They are unique in that many weapons using them fire a short ranged 'buckshot' spread, rather than a single bullet. A decent amount of Shells can be held by the player (max. 1,200). The damage for this ammo type varies, but on average it deals high damage up close, and very low at range.
  • Energy Cells - Ammunition - Fortnite Energy Cells are used for a variety of weapons. A decent amount of Energy Cells can be held by the player, but are expensive to craft. Weapons that use it often have unique abilities or deal high amounts of damage. The player can hold quite a lot (max. 3,000), but many weapons consume multiple rounds per shot.
  • Rockets - Ammunition - Fortnite Explosive ammo is used for Launchers. It is often a slow moving projectile which deals high splash damage upon impact. The player can hold a very small amount of explosive ammo (max. 150), and this type of ammo is not cheap to craft.
