— In-Game Description

The Med Kit is a Consumable Item in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was added in Chapter 5: Season 1.

Functionality

Functionality[]

The Med Kit takes 1 second to start the healing process and is automatically removed from the player's inventory upon activation. While healing, it heals up to Health - Icon - Fortnite 100 Health over 9 seconds, at a rate of Health - Icon - Fortnite 2 Health for the first 2 ticks, then Health - Icon - Fortnite 4 Health for the next 5 ticks, Health - Icon - Fortnite 6 Health for the following 6 ticks, and Health - Icon - Fortnite 8 Health for the final 5 ticks. Each tick takes 0.5 seconds. Healing will stop early if the player's health reaches its maximum limit.

Interrupting the healing process will not restore the Med Kit, and the player will keep the amount of Health already healed. The Med Kit cannot be used at full health, and can be used while moving.

Med Kits can be thrown by holding the Aim button and using the projectile arc to guide them. Once landed it will ping its location to squad-mates.

Calculated - Emote - Fortnite This section outlines a strategy.
Feel free to add tips, tricks and general advice about the topic.
  • At low HP, players should make sure they have good cover before attempting to use a Med Kit, as it takes a long time (9 seconds) to heal 100 Health.
  • If the player is caught in the storm and has more health than 10 seconds worth of storm damage, they can use the Med Kit to help them survive.
