Gain Kryptonian Powers[]

It’s time to heed the call. Starting July 11 at 9 AM ET, Superman’s Call crystal has a chance to spawn in every Battle Royale and Zero Build match. The first player to find it will be given Superman's powers, gaining the ability to fly through the air, melt structures with heat vision, and flex superhuman strength. If other players fighting back are able to take you down, the transformed player will revert back to their normal self, rifting back to the battlefield.

Take Refuge![]

Starting July 15, look no further than Superman’s Fortress of Solitude for a superhero homebase, an icy castle straight out of the Arctic tundra! The protector of Metropolis will be here offering services in exchange for Bars.

New Innovations at Academy Tech Labs[]

Science! More Academy Tech Labs have opened up around the Island, meaning more items for purchase. This includes the Exotic Unstable Bounce Grenade which bounces multiple times and explodes on each bounce. (More bang for the Bar!) And then there’s the Exotic Unstable Thunderclap DMR, firing an explosive bullet every three shots that damages all nearby players.

The man faster than a speeding bullet brought with him the new Surging Speed Boon, findable in Chests or at Academy Tech Labs. It makes you sprint faster and consume less Energy, with the amount of Energy you consume reduced the higher your Hero Rank. You’ll sprint very fast at Rank S!

Unlock Superman![]

Neither bird nor plane. Starting July 11, owners of the Super Battle Pass can unlock the Superman Outfit by earning 12 Account Levels. Work towards this goal by earning XP from any experience!

Keep earning Account Levels to unlock Superman's Pen & Ink Style!

By reaching other Account Level goals, you can unlock matching accessories like the Daily Flight Glider, Super Cape Back Bling, Crystal Smasher Pickaxe, Super Save Emote, and more. Keep meeting the goals to unlock Superman’s comic book-inspired (Pen & Ink) Style designed by Jim Lee! These goals will be completable until Fortnite Battle Royale Chapter 6 Season 3: Super ends.

ICYMI: Want to finish the Battle Pass with the help of others? If you're playing natively on iOS, you can now text an invite to play by hitting the new “Invite to Fortnite” button at the top of your friends list.

Fortnite Blitz Royale: Full Throttle. Phone Ready.[]

Blitz Royale is a 32-player Battle Royale mode with new gameplay every match and frequent updates. The best part? Victory can be yours in five minutes or less — perfect for playing on your phone!

All opponents start with the same random Medallion or unique weapon on a small map. This means everyone has the same advantage! Increase your Blitz Level by eliminating opponents and surviving Storm circles. As you level up, get powerful weapons and power-ups. Loot Golden Chests for even more power-ups and Golden Supply Drops for even more Medallions 🥇

Blitz Royale will feature four weeks of gameplay events:

• June 18: Week 1 - Launch Week! Find new Mythic versions of popular weapons, like the Rocket Ram, in the rare Golden Llama.
• June 24: Week 2 - The Avatar Returns! Pagodas from the Four Nations appear on the map, and players start with a Bending Scroll from Avatar: The Last Airbender.
• July 1: Week 3 - Bad Bosses! Replacing Bending Scrolls are power-packed boss weapons like Thorne's Vampiric Blade and the new Blitz Chain of Hades.
• July 8: Week 4 - TMNT Melee Mayhem! Replacing boss items are melee weapons from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, plus Megalo Don’s Nitro Fists, the Mythic Typhoon Blade, Blitz Kneecapper, and more.

Get the Blitz Knight Outfit & Blitz ‘Brella Glider![]

Earn 10 Account Levels in Fortnite or be in the top 10 players in 20 different Blitz Royale matches to unlock the Blitz Knight Outfit. You can unlock this Outfit until July 15 at 9 AM ET, but it may be purchasable in the Fortnite Shop at a later date.

Chase your gilded vengeance. Glide for gold. Earn a Victory Royale three times in Blitz Royale to receive the Blitz 'Brella Glider!

Need to warm up? Jump into the Training Grounds replacing Team Rumble. It has unlimited respawns and takes place at a single location. And like Blitz Royale, you don’t build while you fight.

Tip: Jumping over from normal Battle Royale? In Blitz Royale, Medallions don’t show your location on the map, and they won’t drop from enemies.

Game Improvements[]

Game improvements — that’s what Bruno likes, that’s what you like. Here’s what’s changing on June 18:

• All-time leaderboards for songs return, with community feedback integrated for the relaunch. Data will already be in the all-time leaderboards when you boot up Season 9!
  • The all-time leaderboards will be available in the Music Library and Main Leaderboards screens.
• Access your favorite songs in the Main Stage quicker! Whether you’re browsing by title or artist, you’ll be able to browse featured and owned Jam Tracks by choosing alphabetical letter options. Lookin’ for Bruno Mars songs? Select “A-B” in the dropdown!
• This one’s for ALL Fortnite players: True Random is here. When you choose “Random” for your Lobby Music, a new song will play when the current song ends or when you return to the Lobby.
  • If you have any songs favorited, Random will only take from your favorites.

Reload Ranked Reset: Squid Grounds Season[]

We’re leveling the playing field and wiping the slate: all Reload ranks will be reset with the introduction of Squid Grounds! Your beginning ranks in Ranked Reload and Ranked Reload Zero Build will be based on your finishing ranks from the current period.

You’ll need to play one Ranked Reload match to have your Ranked Reload rank revealed, and one Ranked Reload Zero Build match to have your Ranked Reload Zero Build rank revealed. As a reminder, players with Epic accounts that have never been used to log into Fortnite will have to complete a specific Quest (Outlast 500 opponents) before they can play Ranked.

Get Warmed Up for the Games in the Squid Grounds Cup[]

Prior to the Squid Grounds launch, you’ll have a chance to compete in the Squid Grounds Cup on June 25! The Squid Grounds Cup is a Reload Duos Fill tournament taking place on the Slurp Rush map.

Top performers in each region will earn the Games Guard Outfit before it hits the Shop on June 26. Players can also earn the Masterful Stare Spray by earning at least 8 points in the tournament!

Among other requirements, players must have Two-Factor Authentication enabled and verified on their Epic account, and be at Account Level 50 or above to participate. (You can find your Account Level in Fortnite Battle Royale’s “Career” tab.) Players with Cabined Accounts are not eligible to take part in this tournament.

After the map is released, Squid Grounds Console Cash Cups will be available July 18, July 25, and August 1! Updates, Changes and Improvements[]

Blasted Badlands[]

A quick refresher: you'll be dealing with the Rage Meter modifier, meaning no automatic Energy regeneration, but faster ability cooldowns and damage. To gain and maintain Energy, you'll need to damage and eliminate enemies, so strategize accordingly! The Blasted Badlands Venture Season runs from June 19 (12:00 AM UTC) to September 3, 2025.

Hit The Road[]

Hit the Road makes its seasonal return! Help escort your Homebase buddies to the Radio Station and blast their Song of the Summer. A new Challenge rolls out each week with a unique modifier, bringing a variety of Hero and Weapon rewards. Wrap up the final two to score two neat Loading Screens on top of Gold and Ticket drops. The final Weekly Challenge ends on August 27, 2025.

Well-Traveled Quest[]

From June 19 to September 3, complete the Well-Traveled Quest within Hit the Road to unlock Fossil Southie - a great choice for all the resource farmers out there!

Imposter[]

Who ordered the Dennis? Help our favorite dispenser of burgers (and justice!) boost his confidence and face his imposter. Catch the Questline from June 19 to July 23, 2025 and complete it to snag the Ninja Dennis Hero.

Dennis Jr.[]

Can’t get enough Dennises? His Constructor counterpart, Dennis Jr., is also available in the Event Store. Totally rad and ready to rock out!

Rad Llama[]

Rad Llamas will be available throughout the entire Venture Season, replacing Pirate Llamas. They’re packed with some Rad Heroes and Boombox Weapons, costing 500 Hit the Road Tickets each.

• Unpinned Quest progress pop-up now appears correctly each time progress is made.
• Items can again be unequipped and re-equipped in the Backpack upon returning from a Mission.

• Wildlife now only displays the enemy (skull) ping icon if hostile.
• Marcy’s Ax Bass Pickaxe now uses the correct swing animation.
• [Hit the Road] Penny's Song of the Summer can now be heard after a successful “Escort Penny Pt 2” mission run.

Another bullet in the chamber! v36.10 brings the K-Zone Commons shell map to Ballistic. With the Test Grounds playlist being reworked, we’re renaming new map updates going forward.

In addition to the new shell map, the K-Zone Commons update brings the fast-fire Machine Pistol, the healing Med Mist Grenade, pre-game warmup, a rank reset, and several fixes and improvements. Ready, aim, 🔥

Introducing K-Zone Commons[]

It pays to be aggressive in K-Zone Commons. Designed around multiple points of contention, surprise flanks are your friend on this Korean-inspired shell map. It joins the map rotation in v36.10 alongside Skyline 10, Hammer Fall, Storm Chaser Cove, and Cinderwatch.

New Weapon: Machine Pistol[]

Brattattattat! The Machine Pistol is a fully automatic, short-range gat. With its 14-round clip and high fire rate comes tricky-to-tame recoil, but it's a formidable secondary for a bargain price. Put it to the test as a finisher after exhausting your primary weapon, or against multiple opponents where extra firepower is welcome.

New Gadget: Med Mist Grenade[]

Calling all support players! Ballistic’s first healing gadget, the Med Mist Grenade, is perfect for mending pinned-down teammates from afar. It explodes on contact, creating a mist that heals allies and enemies in the area over time. (Unlike most grenades, you might wanna make sure there are no enemies nearby.)

New Feature: Pre-Game Warmup[]

Before a match begins, you’ll now enter a pre-game warmup phase where you can try out weapons and practice your aim against training targets while other players load into the match. When all ten players load into the match, the game's starting countdown timer will begin as usual.

Rank Reset: R&D Season 2[]

The next Ranked Season, R&D Season 2, kicks off today! Whether you’re completely new to Ballistic or returning, you’ll need to play one match to establish your rank.

As a reminder, matchmaking is based on the average rank of your party. The winning team gains rank progress in Ballistic, while the losing team loses rank progress. Rounds won, rounds lost, eliminations, and assists all influence your rank progression or regression. Good luck!

Early Access Development Update[]

Your feedback on our last update in May has been incredibly valuable for the team as we continue to develop Ballistic in Early Access. We’re excited to share that today’s update introduces pre-match team balancing, which assigns an even number of players to each team (if possible) after they’ve entered the match. For example, a 5v3 lobby will now be an even 4v4.

Additionally, we added a hair trigger feature to the Hand Cannon. This means that, to shoot, you can pull the trigger again instead of holding the trigger. Hair trigger enables you to fire early at the cost of accuracy, because sometimes the situation calls for it! Holding the trigger still works and the fire rate of that will remain the same.

We’re also happy to confirm that we’re working on backfilling players who leave matches and finalizing full environmental art for Hammerfall! Expect to see both of these implemented later this summer.

General Fixes[]

• Fixed an issue preventing players from swapping weapons immediately after throwing a utility item.
• Fixed an issue where weapons would sometimes not be reloaded at the start of a new round.
• Fixed an issue where sidearms would take up the primary weapon slot.
• Fixed an issue where players would sometimes see a black screen when returning to the Lobby.
• Fixed an issue where two platforms were unintentionally accessible on Storm Chaser Cove.

Rift Point Device[]

• Fixed an issue where the Rift Point Device could be carried over into the next round.
• Fixed an issue where the “Ally Defusing!” message would sometimes show to the player defusing.

Vote to Surrender[]

• Fixed an issue where the player initiating the surrender vote would not show as having voted.
• Fixed an issue where, after voting to surrender, players would not see their vote reflected.

Other[]

• Fixed an issue where incorrect ranks would sometimes display for players on the scoreboard.

LEGO Fortnite Expeditions Supernova Academy

LEGO Fortnite Expeditions is a new PvE experience where you and up to three other players can dive into challenging Missions. All on a quest to stop the evil Mask Maker Daigo from destroying the world!

The Supernova Academy will act as your base of operations and will host other aspiring heroes playing at the same time. Explore the academy and interact with faculty/staff like academy founder Vengeance Jones and hero-turned-mentor Hope to piece together the strange events of what’s happening.

Missions:[]

Daigo’s Spires and the rest of his forces have started spawning all across the world and are causing chaos everywhere! Gather your strength, and your fellow heroes-in-training, to put an end to his schemes…

In co-op Missions, take down forces of evil that appear in waves. Go on a detour by exploring the map and aiding citizens in need of rescue! You can also find Chests packed with resources, currency, or gear to help with your heroism.

Access Missions from the Academy hub at the Mission Terminal. At the terminal, either find a specific Mission, or choose Quick Play to join the next available Mission that needs players.

This city has an unusual knack for attracting villains, so you’ll be spending plenty of time evacuating citizens, setting up comm relays, and deploying Field Generators to prevent future attacks!

Community Projects[]

When it comes down to it, all students at Supernova Academy are on the same team. Completing Missions will help progress global Community Projects. Successfully finishing Community Projects will unlock buffs that apply to all players, and unlock new Missions.

Academy Assignments[]

When you’re not completing a Mission, Academy Assignments are tasks given to you by faculty/staff, because it’s still a school after all! There are assignments from founders like Vengeance Jones and Night Rose, and assignments from teachers and students like Morgan Myst.

LEGO Fortnite Expeditions Hero Classes

Complete Missions to level up each Hero Class. Feel free to mix things up and try different Hero Classes to discover new styles of play! The best education is a well-rounded one — switch classes at any point while at the academy by accessing a Hero Class Terminal.

Shadow Caller[]

Channel the power of chaotic energy by becoming a Shadow Caller! Fly to survey the battlefield from above and swoop in using Command Shadow, which summons a projectile capable of dealing explosive damage and healing allies.

If you’re looking to escape the heat of battle, you can enter Shadow Form to transform into a flock of invulnerable ravens, the perfect getaway vehicle!

Shadow Caller's upgrade tree gives you the ability to morph this flexible Hero Class however you wish, whether that be a damage-per-second powerhouse or a critical support role.

The Hunter[]

Eyes on the prize. The Hunter is the perfect choice for heroes looking to deal massive damage to a single target. Use The Hunter’s Grappler to close the gap to an unsuspecting enemy before unleashing the Bull’s-eye Blade.

The Bull’s-eye’s Blade can mark enemies to multiply damage and make attacks more accurate for all players in the Mission.

Of course, you can’t hunt without traps, and the Hunter’s Trap Dodge deals damage WHILE interrupting enemy attacks. (Multitasking: a great resume booster for after graduation!)

Rift Ripper[]

Rift Rippers use the power of rifts! Launch Rift Shards to deal with enemies individually, or summon Rift Crystals for wide-range damage.

Being in the presence of Rift Crystals will further enhance this class’ abilities too, granting increased damage and armor augments to all Rift Rippers. It will also provide smaller buffs to other classes!

Let ‘er rip. Rift Rippers can Rift Jump to reach high places, and Rift Dodge to open rifts and escape from danger. (Tired of reading the word “rift” yet?)

Tip: Gain Hero XP by completing Missions and defeating enemies to level up your chosen Hero Class and acquire Skill Points you can spend on Hero Upgrades.

Hero Upgrades are tied to Hero Class, with Hero Classes having unique upgrades.

Tools in the Toolbox[]

Even the greatest superheroes need a bit of extra power sometimes, so wield one of the tools in LEGO Fortnite Expeditions! Find a Vendor in the academy then exchange Essence earned from Missions to get a random tool.

Dual Daggers[]

Embrace your inner ninja with the Dual Daggers, a sharp pair of blades that’ll help you take down some of Daigo’s strongest warriors. Its Dashing Strike can be charged for up to 4 seconds to let loose a flurry of powerful hits, or you can go for Spiral Cuts to deal damage to multiple foes at once.

War Hammer[]

LEGO Fortnite’s first two-handed melee weapon is the go-to choice for any student looking to minor in the tank role. Capable of handling large groups of enemies with ease, the War Hammer packs a punch, albeit a slow one!

The Ham-Stand + Ground Slam can be charged for up to 4 seconds to deliver a heavy-hitting blow to ten enemies, and can even be used to dodge enemy attacks.

Plasma Pistols[]

For when melee weapons don’t quite pass the test, there are the Plasma Pistols! Fire from the hip or aim down sights, the choice is yours! Just make sure you don’t let your pistols overheat.

The Sprint Spin attack lets you dash forward and perform a spinning motion while repeatedly firing plasma, a great option if you find yourself in a tight spot surrounded by enemies!

If your situation's too perilous, escape backwards ⬅ out of danger while in the air.

Tip: Don’t forget about gadgets! Findable from Missions and available from Vendors, you can equip three of these stat-boosting tools at the same time.

Enemies on the Expedition[]

Daigo’s forces of destruction are all over the world. But before you can fight back, it’s important to read up on what you’re up against! Let’s turn to page 46 and get the details:

• Spires - They’re sentient! These strange crystal-like beings have spread across different parts of Fortnite.
• Light Demon Guard - These fearsome foes are determined to take you down, whether by using their destructive Slam Punch or their bows, dynamite, and swords.
• Heavy Demon Guard - These guards mean business, and can give your team a heavy setback with their Dual Daggers, War Hammers, and Plasma Pistols.
• Kor - One of Daigo’s lieutenants, Kor makes use of otherworldly powers to leap around the battlefield with tremendous speed. Possessing both melee and ranged weapons, and the ability to summon henchmen, don’t underestimate this tricky opponent.
• Titans - A truly formidable foe. Face Titans with caution, and preferably with a team!

Just fought enemies in Odyssey and looking for more? You don’t have to back out of Odyssey to jump into Expeditions. Instead, you can get into the action directly from either game using a Battle Bus Station!

Speaking of Odyssey, you probably noticed Spires appearing in your world earlier this month… Fortunately, those Spires haven’t been activated by Daigo yet, so your world is spared for now. But be prepared to take action when the Spires activate in July and start spawning Expeditions enemies! It may not be a bad idea to start crafting weapons ahead of time — you’ll be able to craft Expeditions weapons in Odyssey on June 18.

Completing quests awards players new weapons, such as Dual Daggers, Hammers, and Plasma Pistols.

That’s not everything from Expeditions coming to Odyssey. Hero Classes will arrive in the future!

Bug fixes:[]

• We’ve resolved an issue where some players would get stunned by enemy attacks for longer than intended.
• We have fixed an issue where Spires would not spawn if you spoke to Jones on Star Wars Island and Lost Isles. Now, you need to speak to Jones again, and Spires will spawn on the Mainland.
• Note that Spires won't spawn on Star Wars Island or Lost Isles.
• The task “Talk to Carl Rucus” is now progressing correctly.
• Addressed an issue where the minifigs would stop moving while idle in water.
• Mitigated an issue where some daily quests were reset at the incorrect time.
