In Fortnite: Ballistic, Machine Pistol was a Sidearm that cost 500 Credits.

The Machine Pistol is a Hitscan weapon without First Shot Accuracy.

Damage falloff:

• Damage falloff begins at 14 meters (2.8 tiles).
• Damage steadily decreases down to 84% of its maximum at 25 meters (5 tiles).
• Damage reaches its minimum value of 50% of its maximum at 50 meters (10 tiles).

• Machine Pistol is a great pair for long range weapons like the Reaper Sniper Rifle, Sovereign Sniper or Enforcer AR, as it can cover their weakness at close range combat.
  • It can also pair surprisingly well with the Hammer Pump Shotgun as a finisher tool. Do note that you will suffer at longer ranges when running both of them at once.
• Thanks to its price and good DPS, the Machine Pistol can be used to get a quick elimination on an opponent to take their primary. This saves you some Credits for later rounds.
• The Machine Pistol is one of the few weapons to still have an ADS accuracy penalty while moving after Update v37.10. Crouching and standing still are recommended when engaging at medium range combat with this weapon.

Counters[]

• The Machine Pistol performs poorly at medium to long range, due to its lack of First Shot Accuracy and high damage fall off. Using a sidearm such as the Ranger Pistol or Hand Cannon can make up for said range issues.
