The Burst AR is a high damage, 3 round burst assault rifle equipped with a
Holo-13 Optic and
Angled Foregrip.
In Fortnite: Ballistic, the Burst AR cost
2,300 Credits.
The Burst AR is a Hitscan weapon with First Shot Accuracy enabled.
Damage falloff:
- Damage falloff begins at 10 meters (2 tiles).
- Damage steadily decreases down to 90% of its maximum at 25 meters (5 tiles).
- Damage reaches its minimum value of 84% of its maximum at 50 meters (10 tiles).

- Unlike the Nemesis AR and Enforcer AR, the Burst AR has damage fall-off. This means that at a range of 10 meters and above, the weapon will lose its ability to 3 shot enemies with extra 50 shield to the body. This is why when playing with the Burst AR, its recommended to always aim at head level past that distance.
- Even with damage fall-off, the Burst AR's low recoil and 3 round burst still allows it to be effective at medium to long ranges.
- The Burst AR is the second cheapest AR in the game, with the cheapest being the Enforcer AR, making this gun very good for early rounds.

- When engaged with an opponent wielding the Burst AR, using a weapon with an easier recoil pattern and no damage fall-off, such as the Nemesis AR or Enforcer AR, can be viable.

- The Burst AR re-uses its model from the Modular Striker Burst Rifle, albeit with a different paintjob, different animations, no optic riser for the
Holo-13 Optic and a left sided charging handle.
- Due to this, it resembles the Steyr AUG-A3[1].
- The Burst AR is the second weapon in Ballistic to use an Underbarrel Weapon Mod, with the first one being the Drum Gun.
- It is also the first weapon to use the Angled Foregrip Weapon Mod.
- In the Update v34.30 patch notes, Burst AR incorrectly uses the icon from the Modular Striker Burst Rifle.
- Despite not being a Modular weapon, the Burst AR and other weapons featured in Fortnite: Ballistic still show what Weapon Mods they have when inspected.
