Smoke Grenade is an Explosive Weapon in Fortnite: Ballistic that was added in Chapter 6: Season 1.
Functionality

The Smoke Grenade is thrown by the player using the arc provided. Shortly after impact with the floor, a medium sized smoke cloud will appear, obscuring an area from view. Multiple Smoke Grenades can be thrown in one place, and they will detonate shortly after landing.
In Fortnite: Ballistic, Smoke Grenade was a Consumable that costed 
300 Credits.
Smoke Grenade is a slow moving projectile affected by gravity.

- Smoke Grenades are excellent for blocking off lines of sight, be it to cross a large area protected by an enemy, plant a Rift Point Device, or defuse it.
- Smoke Grenades and Recon Grenades form a deadly combo, as scanned players are visible through the smoke cloud.
