The Thunder Burst SMG is a Submachine Gun in Fortnite: Ballistic that was added in Chapter 6: Season 1.

The Thunder Burst SMG is a high damage submachine gun that fires in a three round burst configuration. It is equipped with a 
Holo-13 Optic and 
Suppressor.
In Fortnite: Ballistic, the Thunder Burst SMG cost 
1,100 Credits.
The Thunder Burst SMG is a Hitscan weapon with First Shot Accuracy enabled.
Damage falloff:
- Damage falloff begins at 15 meters (3 tiles).
- Damage steadily decreases down to 80% of its maximum at 25 meters (5 tiles).
- Damage reaches its minimum value of 60% of its maximum at 50 meters (10 tiles).

- With The Thunder Burst SMG being the second cheapest primary weapon, its very easy to force buy it alongside Instant Shield and throwables, even after a losing a rounds.
- Thanks to its quick burst, Thunder Burst SMG can very quickly 2 shot fully shielded opponents to the head at closer ranges. However it will lose that advantage very quickly at longer distances.

- The Thunder Burst SMG shares its model and animations with the Modular Thunder Burst SMG, albeit with a black texture, which lacks The Underground styled paintjob, decals and straps. The safety switch has also been rotated slightly.
- Due to this, it resembles the KRISS Vector SBR Enhanced.[1].
- The Thunder Burst SMG is also missing the bridge that connects the grip with the recoil system. This trait is shared with other KRISS Vector-based SMGs such as the Burst SMG and Rapid Fire SMG.
- Despite not being a Modular weapon, the Thunder Burst SMG and other weapons featured in Fortnite: Ballistic still show what Weapon Mods they have when inspected.
