Overdrive is a Consumable in Fortnite: Ballistic that was added in Chapter 6: Season 2.
Functionality
Functionality[]
Consuming the Overdrive takes 1 second and will grant the user mutliple effects for a duration of 10 seconds. These effects include:
- 7.5% faster weapon fire rate.
- 20% faster weapon reload speed.
- 25% faster Rift Point Device interactions.
- Faster movement speed.
- Faster weapon swap speed.
Players under the Overdrive's effect will emit bright sparks and get a screen overlay while in the First Person Camera.
In Fortnite: Ballistic, Overdrive was a Flex Gadget, two were granted at the start of each round when selected.

- Flashbangs are a great pair for Overdrive, as winning gunfights is easier against blinded enemies.

- Overdrive is the first Consumable item to be added to Fortnite: Ballistic.
- Overdrive was based on the already existing Nitro effect, evident by the item's appearance.
- Unlike other items from Fortnite: Ballistic, a player can have more than one stack of Overdrive in their inventory. This however can only occur in Creative.
