Fire Grenade

Functionality[]

Fire Grenades are thrown by the player using the arc provided. Upon impact, the Fire Grenade explodes and creates a pool of deadly fire within a small radius around its detonation point. Unlike other Explosive Flex Gadgets, the flames from the Fire Grenade will hurt your allies, but only deal 8 damage per tick.

In Fortnite: Ballistic, Fire Grenade was a Flex Gadget, two were granted at the start of each round when selected.

Fire Grenade is a slow moving projectile affected by gravity.

• On Attack, try to hold onto atleast Fire Grenade, as they can be an excellent item to use in a post plant scenario. When used to their fullest potential, they can cover a planted Rift Point Device for a total of 12 seconds, almost 1/3rd of its detonation timer.
• On Defense, the Fire Grenade is great for closing an entry point for a short while or denying enemies from planting a Rift Point Device.
• While weaker in burst damage when compared to the Frag Grenade, the Fire Grenade is still a viable option for securing eliminations on damage enemies, hiding behind cover.
• Fire Grenades can be a great counter to Med-Mist Smoke Grenades, as the smoke cloud isn't able to effectively outheal the high damage per second of the fire pool.
