The Submachine Gun is a Submachine Gun in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was added in the Pre-Season with the launch of Battle Royale.

The Submachine Gun is a fully automatic SMG that functions similarly to other SMGs, being a fast firing, close range weapon. It can also damage targets at longer ranges, but due to weapon spread and damage drop off, it is exceedingly weak.
Submachine Gun is a Hitscan weapon with First Shot Accuracy disabled.

- The Submachine Gun is ideally paired with a Shotgun, due to their close range abilities, if you do not kill the enemy with the shotgun, switch to the Submachine Gun to finish them off.
- Make sure to be close range so you can hit all your shots, so you can do much damage to the enemy.
- This weapon can be somewhat accurate at range in a pinch, as the first 3 or so shots are a lot more accurate, so in a situation in which you run out of ammo for an Assault Weapon and need to lay suppressive fire on an opponent to make them back off so you can reload, you can tap fire this a few times before reloading your Assault Weapon.

- The Submachine Gun becomes very inaccurate with sustained fire, especially at medium range, so keeping distance between an opponent using a Submachine Gun and using a more suitable weapon, such as an Assault Rifle, can be very effective.
