The Makeshift Submachine Gun is a Submachine Gun in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was introduced in Chapter 2: Season 6.
Functionality
Functionality[]
This weapon is similar to the Tactical Submachine Gun. It is ideal for close range engagements, but begins to lack in damage at medium and longer ranges. It has a fast fire-rate meaning accuracy is less important with this weapon.
The Makeshift Submachine Gun is a Hitscan weapon. It does not have First Shot Accuracy enabled, and will always fire a random spread of bullets, which increases with continuous fire. This spread is decreased whilst crouching.

- The Makeshift Submachine Gun can be countered in many similar ways to the Tactical Submachine Gun.
- The Makeshift Submachine Gun has a fire rate that is high enough that its 25 round magazine can drain very fast, and reloads somewhat slowly. Take advantage of this by using a larger magazine weapon that can continue firing while an opponent using the Makeshift Submachine Gun tries to reload.
