Flapjack Rifle

Functionality[]

The Flapjack Rifle is a light machine gun that features a large 45-round magazine, fast fire rate and bonus structure damage. It is suitable for use at close and medium range, but the bouncy recoil and harsh damage falloff make it hard to use at longer distances. In addition, due to the large magazine size, reloading takes somewhat longer than most assault rifles.

The Flapjack Rifle is a Hitscan weapon with First Shot Accuracy enabled.

• Due to its large magazine, moderate damage, decent accuracy, and higher fire rate, the Flapjack Rifle is well suited to cover fire in team-based modes, as it allows for multiple engagements at once.
• Despite the high fire rate, the Flapjack Rifle does have serviceable accuracy at range, although you'll have to tap fire to take advantage of it.
• It can be used as an SMG replacement, making it useable in 2-weapon loadouts.
• The Flapjack Rifle has a slightly higher than average headshot multiplier, dealing around 50 damage a shot, making this weapon somewhat rewarding of headshots.

Counters[]

• The Flapjack Rifle has a very slow reload. Letting an opponent attempt to reload and then flanking them with a fast firing SMG or Assault Rifle can be very effective.
• The Flapjack Rifle, while serviceable at range, is still not the most effective at longer ranges, so a red-dot or scoped Assault Rifle, or a DMR can be an effective counter within these ranges.
