Chapter Seven: Pacific Break[1], also known as Chapter 7: Season 1, Chapter Seven: Season 1, and Season 39, was the thirty-ninth season of Fortnite: Battle Royale and the first season of Chapter 7. The season began on November 29th 2025 and ended on March 19th 2026.
The season's main slogan was Pacific Break, with a theme centered around the United States West Coast — particularly the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area and Hollywood cinema. The season's storyline featured the reintroduction of The Seven and The Last Reality after a three-chapter absence.

Since their victory against the Imagined Order with the destruction of the Collider, the members of the superhero team known as The Seven mysteriously went missing. In the meantime, Reality Zero was ambushed by a division of The Last Reality. While the creation of the Asteria island kept The Last Reality at bay, they remained in the shadows, observing the Loopers and their allies.
The Asteria island collapsed sometime after Jones traveled back in time to trigger the Big Bang, which caused Zero Point to shatter into countless fragments scattered across the Omniverse. One of these Shards followed Jones and his new partner Hope to Reality: 783, crashing onto the surface of Oninoshima Island — a shockwave that rejuvenated the Island's magic. As a result, demons invaded the Island and seized the Shard, delivering it to the Spirit Realm on behalf of the Dark Presence.
Hope, Jones, and their allies battled through the Dark Presence's puppets while attempting to salvage the Shard and secure it in the Vault. However, their repeated conflicts weakened the veil between realms, eventually allowing the Dark Presence to enter Oninoshima through a rift in the veil. Though they managed to steal a sliver of the Zero Point Shard, Hope and Jones were banished to Springfield Island by the Dark Presence — where they lost the Shard to a lovable yet single-minded family man named Homer Simpson. Despite good intentions, Homer's reckless usage of the Shard threw Springfield into chaos before he became fused to it in a radioactive incident, transforming him into a titan.

Main Article: Zero Hour After coaxing the Shard out of Homer, Hope and Jones placed it into a Rift Device upgraded with parts from Professor Frink's Sarcasm Machine and Hamburger Earmuffs, using the Shard to summon Rift Beacons across numerous realities within the Omniverse — rallying those who answered the call into battle against the Dark Presence. Hope, Jones, and Homer returned to Oninoshima to lead innumerable bands of heroes, including Godzilla, Kong, Superman, HUNTR/X, the Power Rangers, and an alliance between the Resistance and the Galactic Empire, among many others.
After a prolonged battle, Jones rifted a red Corruption Cube to the battlefield, which the Mecha Team Leader used to vanquish the Dark Presence. Oninoshima was purified by the liberated Zero Point Shard, and the summoned heroes were returned to their home realities. As Hope and Jones departed Reality: 783 for the Golden Coast, a mysterious figure shot down the Battle Bus.

Pacific Break[]
The Order, one of The Seven, arrives on Reality: 266 after receiving a distress signal from Jones while analyzing the aftermath of the battle on Reality: 783. Using a pod encapsulated in a meteor — similar to those previously deployed by The Seven — she lands near Classified Canyon.
Upon touching down on the Golden Coast, she records her first mission log, explaining her arrival and noting that the situation appears linked to the shattered Zero Point, as her scans reveal unusually high concentrations of Zero Point energy across the Island. She later travels to Storm Station, recording a second mission log in which she observes that someone else is also searching for the Zero Shards. She reflects on the fate of The Seven — who are no longer what they once were — before refocusing on her mission and beginning to scout the area.
Lethal Labs[]
After the Dark Voyager seized control of InnoLoop Labs and the Zero Shard, The Looper — seeking to infiltrate his ranks — sent a message via a holotable found in Lethal Labs, pledging their loyalty. Intrigued, the Dark Voyager assigned them missions to test their usefulness, notably tasking them with learning more about the Zero Shards and The Seven. However, this was merely a ploy: the Dark Voyager used The Looper for his own ends before planning to eliminate them, claiming to prefer loyalty forged over aeons rather than that of a stranger. He dispatched his minions — Skulldroid and NITE Unit Sniper — to kill The Looper, but they were swiftly defeated in battle, and The Looper escaped.
As weeks passed, The Looper became acquainted with the Golden Coast's inhabitants and got involved in Sus Studios's newest film Peelian, starring Peely. After practicing stunt skills with Miles Cross and Carter Wu using the Island's equipment, The Looper helped transform Cat Holloway into an action hero by sharing valuable shooting techniques in exchange for celebrity tips.
Meanwhile, Winterfest celebrations began with the arrival of Winter — a veteran soldier and the face of Winterfest, freshly promoted to Lieutenant since his last tour. Growing tired of being associated only with the festivity, he sought a vacation.
Lieutenant Winter asked The Looper to help deliver the perfect gifts to everyone on the Golden Coast — including his own well-deserved five minutes of absolute silence. Through completing stunts, aiming at Wonkeeland's Shooting Gallery Targets, signing autographs, and delivering gifts, The Looper bonded with the local actors. As the release of Peelians approached, The Looper wished Cat Holloway well for her performance.
Setting the Stage with Kingston[]
While The Looper assisted Kingston on the set of Peelian — hiring new talents, distributing newspapers, and scouting set locations — the Dark Voyager, who had deployed a large-scale scan since seizing InnoLoop, began forming a golden rift above his ship.
Simultaneously, The Order continued her mission and set up camp near Ol' Stumpy, leaving a new mission log. She noted that Reality: 266 feels strangely familiar, yet something is wrong. The Loop appears stable, but the Storm has changed — she suspected either tampering or the fractured Zero Point as the cause. Wishing The Scientist were present to help, she pressed on regardless.
The Order's Mission[]
The Order infiltrated Lethal Labs, now overrun with thugs working for the Dark Voyager. In a mission log left for Jones, she reported securing the final components needed to build a device capable of contacting her allies. Before being captured by the Dark Voyager, she noted that his ship suggested a connection to The Last Reality, though she remained uncertain there could be more to it. She was imprisoned in Lethal Labs' secret cell — the same cell Carina had heard rumors about and shared with Cat Holloway. Shortly after, the Voyager departed Reality: 266 aboard his ship.
The Reassembly Events[]
Carina recruited The Looper to investigate several mysteries, including the Storm and the Reboot Vans, while confiding her wariness of Human Bill and the Henchfans. After having The Looper consult Jones and Hope about the Dark Voyager on her behalf, both urged The Looper to persuade Carina to stay out of it, warning of grave danger.
Meanwhile, the golden Rift began to reform, and the Dark Voyager's ship re-emerged — now carrying a second Zero Shard. Surprised at how easily he had obtained it compared to their own struggles, Hope and Jones began questioning the Dark Voyager's identity and purpose. Though not ready to confront him yet, they assured The Looper they were building their forces.
Breakpoint[]
Informed by Jones of the coming war against the Dark Voyager and training with new weapons and gear, The Looper explored Lethal Labs' underground facility — discovering The Order trapped in the rumored secret cell, sealed inside a cubic barrier preventing her from rifting out. She requested The Looper find Carina and retrieve the keycard she had discovered that could deactivate the barrier.
In exchange, The Looper also helped Carina search for Bigfoot and Bill the Human and collect gold bars. Upon returning, The Looper, Jones, and Hope successfully freed The Order, allowing her to rift away to locate the remaining, scattered members of The Seven — whose help would soon be needed. Freeing her triggered the cell's alarms, summoning Skulldroid and NITE Unit Sniper, who were once again defeated.
The Stranger[]
The following week, The Looper contacted The Order — now patrolling Classified Canyon — who enlisted their help in a new mission: constructing a device to contact The Seven, or whoever remains. She explained the plan was drawn from a database of blueprints left by The Scientist for emergencies like this one. The Looper cleared a signal path and gathered materials to build a transmitter, which was then placed beneath the antenna near the Battlewood sign.
The Order thanked The Looper and assured them that whoever answers the call, The Seven would stand against the Dark Voyager and stop his plans for the Zero Point Shards. With Jones' training concluded, construction began at the Canyon around a satellite dish to prepare a landing site for incoming allies.
A week after The Order's signal was sent, a Red Sideways Rift began forming in the sky above the beacon — last seen in the aftermath of the Blast Off Event triggered by The Visitor, hinting at his return.
The following day, the rift expanded further, now stretching from Bumpy Bay to Lethal Labs. With the rift fully expanded and construction south of Classified Canyon complete, a landing site was established for whoever had answered The Order's call.
The Red Sideways Rift opened, rifting The Visitor — aboard his rocket — into the Golden Coast. After rifting in and out six times to shed residual havoc energy, the rocket's thruster began to fail, nearly causing a crash into The Shape at Sandy Strip. The Visitor narrowly avoided the collision and safely touched down at the landing site south of Classified Canyon.
Interference / Redacted[]
The Visitor directs the Looper to speak with the Order, frustrated at her for pursuing a reconnaissance mission on the Dark Voyager alone. He believes such an operation is a bad idea due to their limited interactions with the Dark Voyager, having stalked him through several realities to observe his power. He orders the Order to stand down, but she pushes through with the mission regardless and recruits the Looper to join her.
The Order, on the other hand, dismisses the Visitor's warnings as inexperience as the downfall of the Seven had not yet occurred in his reality. To uncover the scope of the Dark Voyager's ambitions, she raids his base at Lethal Labs and finds a hidden contact channel on the holotable. She summons AMIE to decrypt the channel, finding a lone message sent to a redacted comm reading "I will not fail you", confirming her suspicions that the Dark Voyager was acting on behalf of a master. The Order returns to the Visitor to report on her findings.
Final Wave[]
The Dark Voyager continues to dip in and out of Reality: 266, eventually finding a third Zero Point Shard. To find more, the Dark Voyager uses his Dark Harvester spaceship to fire an intense beam of energy at the partially reconstructed Zero Point, which led it to create three Pure Portals on the Island that were linked to realities that had the remaining Zero Point Shards. One of the Portals opened in an icy tundra overlooking an ominous castle. In addition, the intense energy consumption ends up depowering the Dark Harvester.

The Pacific Break Battle Pass is available for 
1,000 V-Bucks, with an additional 25-level boost offered for 1,800 V-Bucks. Fortnite Crew subscribers immediately unlock the Battle Pass alongside the OG Pass, Music Pass, and LEGO® Pass. Battle Pass levels require 80,000 
, or up to 99 rewards can be claimed individually for 150 V-Bucks each.
A non-linear progression system was introduced, allowing players to freely choose which cosmetic set to unlock after reaching a certain number of levels. Unlocking a set simultaneously opens both of its pages for reward redemption. This excludes the final page of the standard Battle Pass, which is locked at Level 85. Some cosmetic pages feature additional rewards obtainable only by completing designated Quests in Battle Royale, Blitz Royale, or Reload.

- On November 20th 2025, Epic Games held a red carpet event at Quentin Tarantino's Vista Theatre in Los Angeles, California to promote the launch of Chapter 7, the Zero Hour Live Event, the premiere of The Lost Chapter: Yuki's Revenge, and the joint theatrical re-release of both Kill Bill films as a combined picture, titled Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair. A number of content creators and notable figures were invited to play the season early.
- Attendees included Kill Bill director Tarantino and The Bride actress Uma Thurman, singer/rapper Rei Ami of HUNTR/X, influencer Bella Poarch, rapper Lil Tecca, and record producer Benny Blanco.
