The Tactical Pistol is a Pistol in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was added in Chapter 7: Season 1.

The Tactical Pistol has a Mythic version called Overdrive Tactical Pistol.

Functionality

Functionality[]

The Tactical Pistol is a fast firing fully automatic pistol with a tight spread. It functions very similar to a Submachine Gun.

The Tactical Pistol is a hitscan weapon, with First Shot Accuracy enabled.

The Tactical Pistol can be reloaded whilst aiming, aimed down sights while in midair and has the Checkpoint Reload mechanic.

The Tactical Pistol can easily replace an SMG whilst still having great range.
At longer ranges, try to tap fire the Tactical Pistol to control the spread of the weapon. Crouching further increases the accuracy.
This version of the Tactical Pistol not only can be aimed while jumping, but also is the only weapon that retains First Shot Accuracy when jumping, allowing for surprisingly effective jump peeks in a fight.

Counters[]

The Tactical Pistol does have a bit of kick to it, combined with a small magazine. Using weapons like the Holo Rush SMG at mid-range can be beneficial when against an opponent with a Tactical Pistol.
