The Cube Splitter SMG is a Submachine Gun in Fortnite: Reload that was introduced in Chapter 7: Season 2.
Functionality
Functionality[]
The Cube Splitter SMG is high damage submachine gun with a moderate fire rate and low magazine capacity. This weapon fires cube shards, which stick to opponents and player made structures on hit. After three seconds, those shards cause a very small explosion, dealing additional damage, but only to the affected target. Each target can only have one cube shard stuck onto them at a time, but hitting said target three more times will cause them to explode instantly.
The Cube Splitter SMG is a Hitscan weapon without First Shot Accuracy.
The Cube Splitter SMG can be aimed down sights while reloading and aimed down sights in midair.

- When getting an elimination with the Cube Splitter SMG, the Message Feed will mistakenly say that the player was eliminated by their elimination's Cube Splitter SMG, which is the exact opposite of what actually happened.
- It functionally bears a strong resemblance to the Needler from the Halo franchise, as both weapons fire shards of an exotic material that are capable of exploding.
