The Drum Shotgun is a Shotgun in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was added in Season 9.
The Drum Shotgun has a Mythic version called Enhanced Drum Shotgun.
Functionality

The Drum Shotgun is a fast firing, fully automatic shotgun, capable of dealing high DPS in close-to-mid engagements. The Drum Shotgun reloads all shells at once, unlike most other shotguns.
The Drum Shotgun is a Hitscan weapon that fires a spread of 12 pellets when both aiming down sights and hipfiring. Aiming down sights tightens the spread of pellets.
Damage falloff:
- Damage falloff begins at 18 meters (3.6 tiles).
- Damage decreases down to 70% of its maximum at 25 meters (5 tiles).
- Damage steadily decreases down to 37% of its maximum at 30 meters (6 tiles).
- It deals damage until 40 meters (8 tiles).
The Drum Shotgun can be aimed down sights while reloading.

- The Drum Shotgun is best used at very close ranges due to its high DPS, high capacity, and wide pellet spread.
- The Drum Shotgun is more effective at range than most other shotguns. Despite this, its wide pellet spread prevents it from being effective at medium range.
- The Drum Shotgun can be used to break into an opponent's box. However, an SMG or an assault rifle with a high fire rate will usually be more effective.
- If you suspect an opponent hides in large foliage nearby, fire the Drum Shotgun into it. The Drum Shotgun's wide pellet spread will almost guarantee you land some damage on the opponent and alert you to danger.
- The Drum Shotgun is most effective in Zero Build playlists due to its ease of use, decent range, and high DPS.
- Since the Drum Shotgun reloads via a magazine, reload the Drum Shotgun first after a fight to defend yourself if you get pushed.
- The Drum Shotgun excels at dealing with multiple targets, making it a powerful option in team game modes.
- Unlike many other shotguns, the Drum Shotgun can be used by itself at close range without the assistance of an SMG.
- The Drum Shotgun heavily benefits from augments like Shell Slide due to the weapon's tendency to use up shotgun shells very quickly.

- The Drum Shotgun has a slow reload, and since it reloads all its shells at once, it is not the best Shotgun to be caught reloading with. You can take advantage of this by engaging with an opponent while they try to reload their Drum Shotgun.

- The Drum Shotgun is based off the American Origin-12 Shotgun.
- Prior to Update v28.10, The Legendary Drum Shotgun, as well as the Light Machine Gun, can be accessed in Creative using a Midas Flopper.
- However, if the weapon was dropped, it would have been deleted from the world.
- This changed in Update v28.10, when the Epic and Legendary rarities were officially added to Creative.
