Sideways Minigun

Functionality[]

The Sideways Minigun is a fully automatic, fast firing, medium ranged weapon, not very accurate, and has a spin up timer, which means the player cannot fire it instantly. The Sideways Minigun does not have a magazine size, and works on a cooldown system. Firing the weapon for too long will cause it overheat, and the player must wait a short time before using it again. When the weapon is close to overheating, the fire rate increases and the bullet spread decreases.

• Make sure to time your cooldown correctly, as even though you will be dealing more damage per second, it will be very dangerous to wait for the several second cooldown period between firing again.
• Unlike the Minigun, the Sideways Minigun does not do extra structure damage, however its insane firing rate when heated more than makes up for this.
• Once this weapon reaches the heat point where its firing rate increases, it is best to try to keep it heated by firing when it's nearly below that point, If you're in a fight and don't have an immediate line of sight on someone it can still be good to just fire off shots to keep the heat up.
• If you're planning to try to jump into someone's box with this item, it is best to make sure it has the heat to increase its firing rate before entering the box, as this weapons low DPS without its fire rate boost makes you very easy to eliminate.
• The Sideways Minigun is not a good alternative to an SMG, it's slow heat charge and long pullout make it a poor follow up. Rather it is better to be used in either its own slot or in place of an Assault Rifle.
