Double Trouble are Exotic variants of the Pump Shotgun.
Functionality
Functionality[]
Double Trouble are high damage, short-ranged, slow-firing shotguns, best suited to very close quarters engagements. They reload 1 shell at a time, and can be swapped between eachother with no delay.
When damaging opponents with Double Trouble, they will restore the player's health and shield. The amount of healing gained depends on damage dealt per shot, capping at
20 Effective Health for bodyshots and
27 Effective Health for headshots.
Double Trouble are hitscan weapons that fire a spread of 10 pellets when both aiming down sights and hipfiring. Aiming down sights tightens the spread of pellets.

Strategy Guide
Strategy Guide[]
|
This section outlines a strategy. |
| Feel free to add tips, tricks and general advice about the topic. |
- The Double Trouble is one of very few Shotguns in the game that can hit for over 200 or more, making them ridiculously powerful in Builds.
- The Double Trouble is great in Duos, as you can drop one of the shotguns to your teammate and essentially have two Legendary Pump Shotguns with extra effects on top.
- A somewhat niche strategy that may be overkill, but you can technically Quad Pump with both the Double Trouble, a Wrecker Revolver, and a Sentinel Pump Shotgun, which could be insane in Builds.
- When combined with the Carapace Medallion, the amount of siphon gained from eliminations with the Double Trouble shotguns can almost nullify any reason to carry healing items.
Counters:[]
- Unless you want to die in one shot, either run, or stay at very far range when dealing with an opponent with the Double Trouble shotguns.

Trivia
Trivia[]
- Despite being Exotic Pump Shotguns, they use the equip, reload, and firing sounds of the Sentinel Pump Shotgun. This likely happened because these weapons were initially meant to be another Exotic variants of the Sentinel Pump Shotgun.
- Promotional images in the patch notes for this season actually showed that Double Trouble was meant to be two Sentinel Pump Shotguns, but they changed the model, stats, and animations in the last second and possibly overlooked changing the sounds.
- When dropped on the ground, Double oddly has Weapon Mod slots while Trouble does not. This is likely due to Double originally being a Sentinel Pump Shotgun but got changed to a high-tier Pump Shotgun instead, as shown in the first promo image for the new Exotic weapons in Chapter 6: Season 4.
