Kinetic Blade is a Melee Weapon in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was added in Chapter 4: Season 2.
Kinetic Blade has a Mythic variant called Thorne's Vampiric Blade.
Functionality
Functionality[]
The Kinetic Blade has two different functions:
- Knockback Slash: Consists of two quick slashes, each dealing 35 damage. The second slash knocks opponents back a certain distance. Opponents hit by this attack are not given the shockwave effect and will take fall damage if knocked back from a considerable height. Using this attack while mid-air will behave differently, with the user holding the second slash until it hits the ground. Landing each slash of this attack on a player, vehicle, or structure will reduce the durability meter of the Rare and Epic rarities by 2 points (1%).
- Dash Attack: The user charges the attack for 1 second, then dashes forward, dealing 60 damage to opponents. This attack can hold up to 3 charges at once, with a cooldown of 10 seconds for each. Using this attack will reduce the durability meter of the Rare and Epic rarities by 10 points (5%).

- Unlike the Shockwave Hammer, you cannot have more than one Kinetic Blade in your inventory.
- Kinetic Blades have separate cooldowns, meaning you can drop you current blade and pick up another to refresh your charges.
- The Dash Attack can be used for quick mobility or gaining access to higher ground, if its charges are managed appropriately.
- The Dash Attack has a startup lag, which leaves you vulnerable to enemy fire.
- Using the Dash Attack negates fall damage, which means it can be used to descend heights easily.

- There was an unused Legendary variant of the Kinetic Blade.
