EvoChrome Shotgun is a Shotgun in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was introduced in Chapter 3: Season 4.
Functionality
Functionality[]
The EvoChrome Shotgun is a fully automati shotgun with a wide horizontal spread. When players deal damage to opponents or wildlife, the EvoChrome Shotgun will slowly build up a meter. When the meter's threshold is reached, reloading the weapon will evolve it to the next rarity, up to Mythic. The EvoChrome Shotgun cannot be evolved if the user does not have enough ammo to reload it.
The EvoChrome Shotgun is a Hitscan weapon that fires a spread of 10 pellets when both aiming down sights and hipfiring. Aiming down sights tightens the spread of pellets.

- The EvoChrome Shotgun can be upgraded by hunting wildlife. Boars, Chickens, and Wolves are usually best for this.
- The EvoChrome Shotgun is an excellent weapon for beginners. It has a high fire rate, a wide pellet spread, and deals high damage at very close ranges.
- The EvoChrome Shotgun is an excellent weapon in Zero Build playlists due to its fast damage output.
- The EvoChrome Shotgun's wide pellet spread and solid range make it an excellent tool for checking bushes for opponents.
- The EvoChrome Shotgun is not suited for build fights. It takes longer to equip than most other shotguns, and its wide pellet spread prevents it from dealing solid damage around tight angles.
- Always keep the EvoChrome Shotgun topped up on ammo. This weapon will use a surprising amount while you fight opponents, wildlife, and NPCs to upgrade it.
