Raphael's Sai are a Melee Weapon in Fortnite: Battle Royale that were introduced in Chapter 5: Season 1.
Functionality

Raphael's Sai are a hybrid of a close range hack-and-slash weapon and an air ambush weapon. They have a unique octagonal reticle (reminiscent of a turtle shell). When attacking and targeting an opponent in range, the reticle becomes red, the color of Raphael's headband.
Raphael's Sai have 3 ways of attacking:
- Holding the standard attack unleashes a combo that consists of a barrage of quick attacks. Across all four weapons, each normal hit does 30 damage with some sort of finishing move that does a larger amount of damage and also has a wide area of effect.
- The air dash does 85 damage if an opponent is hit.
- The air attack and ground slam does 70 damage and inflicts knockback.
The air dash (aim) that will allow the player to quickly launch themselves into the air a short distance. It can also be used on the ground. This dash also deals damage if it hits an opponent, but has a very small cooldown afterwards. While in the air, the player may use the standard attack to produce an air attack, which deals heavy damage and knockback.
In addition, simply having this weapon as the active weapon grants the user a passive double jump. Using this gives the player fall damage immunity and a slight boost forward, but it can't be used again until the player touches the ground. This jump uses stamina even if the player isn't sprinting.
The weapon has three charges that slowly refill over time. Using an air dash or air attack expends a charge. Each charge takes 10 seconds to refill.

- Each slash of the standard attack gives the player a bit of momentum towards the reticle, so the combo can actually move the player forward quite some distance. This can be used to catch a retreating player or to "dance" around the target to make it harder to be attacked back.
- Hitting an opponent blocking with a Ballistic Shield with the air dash attack instantly breaks their guard. Use this to quickly eliminate an overly defensive player.
- The Mythic TMNT weapons and the Grapple Blade are very similar in form and function. Both weapons:
- Give the player an additional movement option (the TMNT weapons have the air dash and the Grapple Blade grapples to surfaces).
- Have different attacks depending on whether the player is grounded or in the air.
- Have an attack that inflicts knockback.
- Have an attack that can instantly break a Ballistic Shield's guard.
