The Unstable Voltage Burst Pistol is a Pistol in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was introduced in Chapter 6: Season 3.
Unstable Voltage Burst Pistol is an Exotic variant of the Hyperburst Pistol.
Functionality

Unstable Voltage Burst Pistol is a fast firing, 3-round burst pistol with stellar accuracy. It does not suffer an accuracy penalty while moving and jumping.
The last round of the first and last burst fired from the Unstable Voltage Burst Pistol will release a small shockwave on impact.
Unstable Voltage Burst Pistol is a Hitscan weapon, with First Shot Accuracy enabled.
Damage falloff:
- Damage falloff begins at 30 meters (6 tiles).
- Damage goes down to 85% of its maximum at 48 meters (9.3 tiles).
- Damage reaches its minimum value of 78% of its maximum at 105 meters (21 tiles).

- Due to the higher overall DPS, the Unstable Voltage Burst Pistol isn't quite as punishing as its regular Hyperburst Pistol counterpart if you miss a shot or two, however, it is still advised to hit as many full bursts as possible for maximum damage potential.
- The Unstable Voltage Burst Pistol has a small mag size of 21, or 7 full bursts, so keep that in mind when in a close range engagement.
- Since Update v37.10, the Unstable Voltage Burst Pistol has one of the highest DPS' in the Pistol category, and is higher than that of a Legendary Combat Assault Rifle. This, combined with the tight ADS spread, create a highly deadly secondary that can very much compete with SMGs and some AR's at close-mid range.

- Due to the small mag size, the Unstable Voltage Burst Pistol can be easily overwhelmed at close range by weapons like the Surgefire SMG, so carry that or a similar weapon can be advantageous when engaged with an opponent wielding the Unstable Voltage Burst Pistol.

- The Unstable Voltage Burst Pistol currently has a bug when somebody has two and at least one is fully loaded, the other pistol will constantly fire the shockwave bullets.
- Additionally, this bug also works with the Plasma Burst Laser firing it more rapidly.
