The Suppressed Sniper Rifle is a Sniper Rifle in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was introduced in Season 7.
Functionality
Functionality[]
The Suppressed Sniper Rifle is weapon which fires a single, fast moving, projectile bullet, which is affected by gravity. The weapon is fitted with a Scope for long range engagements but has only one bullet in its magazine, and thus has to be reloaded after every shot. Its scope, damage and lack of damage falloff makes it well-suited for long range combat, but its hipfire inaccuracy – having no indication on which direction the bullet will go – and single-shot magazine makes it ineffective at close range. When firing, the weapon does not make a blip on the compass.
The Suppressed Sniper Rifle uses a Fast Moving Projectile. As it uses a scope, the fired bullet will always shoot from the center of the crosshair. There is no damage falloff on the Suppressed Sniper Rifle's projectiles. It has a projectile speed of 450 m/s (14 m/s initial), and a projectile gravity scale of 0.12.

- Players should aim above targets at long ranges to compensate for bullet drop. The further the target the higher the player should aim.
- Players should aim in the direction a target is moving at long ranges to compensate for the bullet travel time. The faster and further the target the further the player should aim.
- When aiming, the enemy can see the reflect flash of the scope.
- Despite being a suppressed weapon, the landing of the bullet (if missed) may still warn enemies, potentially causing them to be more cautious about hidden snipers. It's better to aim at an enemy that is busy on something (i.e., healing or aiming something else).
- It is also good at initiating fights against NPCs thanks to its high headshot damage.

- The player can manually delay a reload by remaining scoped in with this weapon. This is to allow for players to visualize where their bullet lands, which would be much more difficult if the player was forced out of the scope.
- Whilst this weapon was remodeled in Chapter 2: Season 1, it's icon was not updated to match, making the icon appear completely different from it's appearance in game. This was finally rectified in Chapter 7: Season 1.
