Jedi Padawan Lightsaber is a Melee Weapon in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was introduced in Chapter 4: Season 2.

Functionality

Functionality[]

The Jedi Padawan Lightsaber primarily act as a Melee Weapon, meaning it can be swung at players in close range to deal damage to them. The weapon does damage in different intervals and does not have a consistent damage per second. When using it, the player will swing twice for 40 damage each, do a spin attack for 20 damage three times, and then overhead slam for 150 damage.

The Jedi Padawan Lightsaber will also block damage. Holding the aim down sight button will negate all types of damage except explosive towards the player. This will negate roughly 30 shots, before being put on a three second cooldown. Attempting to Jump whilst blocking will make the player dodge roll. This can be used to avoid incoming fire. Unlike the regular Lightsabers however, you cannot dodge in midair.
