The Exotic Recon Bow is a Bow in Fortnite that was added in Chapter 7: Season 2.
The Exotic Recon Bow is an Exotic variant of the Mechanical Bow.
Functionality
Functionality[]
The Exotic Recon Bow fires a Fast Moving, Scanning Projectile. It has a targeting system which shows the player the drop of the projectile, and where it will land.
There is no damage falloff on the Mechanical Bow's projectiles.

- The Exotic Recon Bow deals more damage than its Primal counterpart, but its reload is slightly slower.
- This gives a weaker DPS, but if you are careful with your shots, they can deal more damage to opponents in short bursts.
- The Exotic Recon Bow can track enemies in a large area, if they're taking cover, shoot next to them to reveal their locations.
- The Exotic Recon Bow, in addition to scanning enemy players, can scan containers, which can be useful for looting locations for the first time.

- The Exotic Recon Bow is rated at only 3 stars, which is typical for an Rare rarity item, despite this weapon being Exotic.
- The Exotic Recon Bow was added for the Overwatch collaboration as a reference to Hanzo, his Storm Bow, and his Sonic Arrows.
- In Overwatch Caches, it comes with the Chug Jug as a reference to his Sonic Disruption perk.
- Alongside it are the Exotic Leaping-Lightning Gun, the Overdrive Pulse Rifle, and the Twin Siphon Shotguns.
- The Exotic Recon Bow is the first Bow to be added in Fortnite: Reload, and the first Bow to be available in Fortnite: Battle Royale since the Boom Bow returned during the Weekend of Champions event in Chapter 6: Season 4.
