The Burst Quad Launcher is an Explosive Weapon in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was added in Chapter 2: Season 5.
The Burst Quad Launcher is the Exotic version of the Quad Launcher.
Functionality
Functionality[]
The Burst Quad Launcher works almost identically to the original Quad Launcher in terms of projectile velocity, gravity on the projectiles and the ability to damage the player who shot it.
The Burst Quad Launcher however, shoots out two rockets per shot, consuming only one ammunition. As such, the damage it deals can be multiplied by two to achieve its maximum damage numbers. As such, the launcher has eight shots in its magazine.
Rockets deal more damage to structures than they do to players, and you cannot achieve a headshot with one.
The Burst Quad Launcher is a Slow Moving Projectile Weapon, affected by gravity. There is no damage falloff on the Quad Launcher's projectiles.

Strategy Guide
Strategy Guide[]
|
This section outlines a strategy. |
| Feel free to add tips, tricks and general advice about the topic. |
- Avoid shooting the Burst Quad Launcher near your person as it will deal the same damage to you as it does to enemy players.
- Try to avoid using this weapon indoors for this same reason.
- The Burst Quad Launcher's rockets are affected by gravity, so bear that in mind when attacking a target far away.
- You can shoot a Rocket under a player and allow them to ride it. This is less useful than a Rocket Launcher, as the Burst Quad Launcher rockets are affected by Gravity. Another one is that the Burst Quad Launcher shoots two rockets, and one of them could accidentally hit you, eliminating you in the process.
- The Burst Quad Launcher's rockets zig-zag at random intervals, making it difficult to be accurate with it. Rather, the Burst Quad Launcher is best used for raining fire on opponents from above and destroying their cover.
- The Burst Quad Launcher can quickly cause your opponents to panic due to its volume of fire. As such, you can use the chaos the Burst Quad Launcher creates to force opponents into more vulnerable positions.
- Try to avoid using the Burst Quad Launcher in close-quarters build fights, as if your opponent places a structure in front of you when you fire you may accidentally damage yourself.
- This is especially problematic with the Burst Quad Launcher, since the opponent could see the first rocket fire, place a wall, and cause the second rocket to damage you instead.
Counters[]
- The Burst Quad Launcher is very risky within close quarters fights, as an opponent wielding it cannot fire back without risking damaging themselves. Take advantage of this by keeping a fight within that range.

Trivia
Trivia[]
- The Burst Quad Launcher shares the same model as the Quad Launcher, but features a unique gray paint job with a red drawing of a dizzy cartoon missile. Possibly in reference to the rockets' bloom when fired.
- The configuration of rockets firing two shots per tube is physically impossible for the real life version of this weapon. Not only does the M202 FLASH not fire rockets, but it would fire one projectile per tube, not two.
