Ocean's Burst Assault Rifle is an Assault Weapon in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was introduced in Chapter 2: Season 3.
Ocean's Burst Assault Rifle is a Mythic version of the Burst Assault Rifle.
Functionality
Functionality[]
Ocean's Burst Assault Rifle is a burst-fire, medium ranged weapon that fires 2-round burst shots. It excels at medium ranged combat, but has the ability to perform decently at long ranges. It is weaker at close ranges due to its burst fire, meaning it's very punishing upon missing a burst. The Burst Assault Rifle has first shot accuracy, enabling longer ranged engagements to be more useful.
Ocean's Burst Assault Rifle is a Hitscan weapon with First Shot Accuracy enabled.
Damage falloff:
- Damage falloff begins at 50 meters (10 tiles).
- Damage steadily decreases down to 93% of its maximum at 75 meters (15 tiles).
- Damage reaches its minimum value of 84% of its maximum at 95 meters (19 tiles).
Ocean's Burst Assault Rifle can be aimed down sights while reloading.

- Ocean's Burst Assault Rifle has a decent DPS and high accuracy for a bloom-based weapon. Use this to quickly kill an enemy in close-to-medium ranged combat.
- Ocean's Burst Assault Rifle is weak against builds and so it is ill-advised to use it against someone who is building cover.
- At very long range, Ocean's Burst Assault Rifle has a higher chance of missing the second shot of the burst. Stick to mid- and close-range for the best accuracy.
- Within the Mythic rarity, it's often more advisable to use an Assault Rifle that fires in a non-burst configuration, as many automatic Assault Rifles offer much higher DPS.
- However, the accuracy and quick damage burst potential gives Ocean's Burst Assault Rifle the edge in specific circumstances, such as when the enemy only peeks out for brief periods of time.
- Ocean's Burst Assault Rifle is incredible at medium to long range pressure, as it's increased magazine size lets it sustain fire on enemies for prolonged periods of time.
