The MK-Seven Assault Rifle is an Assault Weapon in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was added in Chapter 3: Season 1.
The MK-Seven Assault Rifle has two Mythic version called The Foundation's MK-Seven Assault Rifle and WIP Mythic Red Dot AR.
Functionality

The MK-Seven Assault Rifle is a fast firing, fully automatic assault rifle. It is equipped with a 2x magnification red dot sight, giving the weapon perfect accuracy while aiming down sights.
The MK-Seven Assault Rifle is a Hitscan weapon that becomes a Projectile weapon after its target is over 100m away. It has First-Shot Accuracy enabled.
Damage falloff:
- Damage falloff begins at 50 meters (10 tiles).
- Damage decreases down to 90% of its maximum at 75 meters (15 tiles).
- Damage reaches its minimum value of 86% of its maximum at 95 meters (19 tiles).
The MK-Seven Assault Rifle can only be aimed down sights while reloading and while in midair within modes that have these mechanics enabled.

- The MK-Seven Assault Rifle is very accurate at range due to its low vertical recoil at range, however there is some horizontal kick with sustained fire, so small bursts at longer ranges are advised. Close to mid-range is where this weapon is most effective without tap-firing.
- When picking the MK-Seven Assault Rifle, remember that its hipfire spread is extremely poor, and because of the transition to first-person when aiming, it is quite poor at close range fights. In these situations, the Tactical Assault Rifle, or an SMG, is a lot more suitable.
- Despite its low damage at range, because of its high fire rate and slightly larger than average magazine, the MK-Seven is very good for cover fire and taking on more than one opponent at once.
- One advantage the MK-Seven Assault Rifle has over newer red-dot rifles that have appeared since Chapter 4 is that, unlike most of them, it uses a PNG-overlay for its scope instead of a physically modeled scope with camera zoom, meaning that the scope, despite being a red-dot, is much more zoomed in at range, and is closer in sight picture to the Scoped Assault Rifle. This allows the MK-Seven to actually fair very well at long range compared to other rifles such as the Deadeye Assault Rifle.
- With the recent conversion from Hitscan to Projectile, it's best to treat the MK-Seven Assault Rifle similarly to the Modular Combat Assault Rifle with a scope, such as the Thermal Optic in terms of zoom.
Counters[]
- The MK-Seven Assault Rifle has a slower than average reload time as a tradeoff for its slightly larger magazine size. Due to this, it can be very beneficial to push an opponent with an MK-Seven while they reload.
- The MK-Seven Assault Rifle also has a very poor hipfire spread, so it will be easily overwhelmed by an SMG or more close-range oriented Assault Rifle.
- The MK-Seven Assault Rifle is only hitscan up to 100 meters. Use this to your advantage by carrying a rifle such as the Assault Rifle or Enforcer AR, and keep your distance from an opponent using the MK-Seven Assault Rifle. Other red dot rifles that don't have projectile drop such as the Holo Twister Assault Rifle or MK-Alpha Assault Rifle can also fair better against players using the MK-Seven Assault Rifle.

- The MK-Seven Assault Rifle is the first weapon without a scope to put the player in a first-person perspective when aiming down sights.
- The weapon uses the same aesthetic as members of The Seven, with its blue and red color scheme. This suggests why the weapon is named "MK-Seven."
- Before January 13th 2022, The MK-Seven Assault Rifle had the same stats as the Combat Assault Rifle in all rarities, excluding accuracy-related stats.
- The MK-Seven Assault Rifle has a reworked version called the MK-Alpha Assault Rifle, as they share the same model and their designs and names are very similar, although with different stats. It no longer includes The Seven's color scheme.
