Darth Vader's Lightsaber

Functionality[]

Darth Vader's Lightsaber functions identically to other Lightsabers, with the only difference being it can be thrown by the player to deal ranged damage.

Darth Vader's Lightsaber primarily act as a Melee Weapon, meaning it can be swung at players in close range to deal damage to them. The weapon does damage in different intervals and does not have a consistent damage per second. When using it, the player will swing twice for 40 damage each, do a spin attack for 20 damage three times, and then overhead slam for 150 damage.

Darth Vader's Lightsaber will also block damage. Holding the aim down sight button will negate all types of damage except explosive towards the player. This will negate roughly 30 shots, before being put on a three second cooldown. Attempting to Jump whilst blocking will make the player dodge roll. This can be used to avoid incoming fire. Unlike the regular Lightsabers however, you cannot dodge in midair.

Starting from Find the Force event, Darth Vader’s Lightsaber allows the player to double jump while holding it and increases sprint speed at the cost of higher Energy consumption, but only if the player has trained in the Force.

When thrown Darth Vader's Lightsaber is a slow moving projectile.

Boss Weapon[]

The unobtainable Darth Vader's Lightsaber used by the Darth Vader Boss has a few additional properties not present in the version he drops. These attributes include:

• Significantly slower movement speed.
• Different blocking animation.
• Less throw damage.
• Three attack animations that the user has a chance of dishing out.
  • Light Swings - Swings quickly three times, dealing 15, 15, and 20 damage.
  • Quad Swings - Swings four times, dealing 15, 15, 15, and 20 damage.
  • Heavy Swings - Swings slightly slower three times, dealing 15, 15, and 20 damage.

Obtaining[]

As of Update v35.10, Darth Vader's Lightsaber can not currently be obtained as it is exclusively wielded by Darth Vader.

• Darth Vader's Lightsaber can be used to block fire while you move from one piece of cover to another.
  • Don't expect the block of Darth Vader's Lightsaber to protect you from everything, though; the block will break against fast-firing weapons and will not deflect explosives.
• After throwing Darth Vader's Lightsaber, swap to and use a different weapon while you wait for it to return to you.
• In building playlists, you can weaken an opponent's walls and throw Darth Vader's Lightsaber. This will damage the opponent heavily as it enters and exits their box.
• Hitting an opponent with Darth Vader's Lightsaber can knock them off of high places, potentially eliminating them with fall damage.
• The melee attacks from Darth Vader's Lightsaber can be effective against opponents in Zero Build since they cannot build to block the weapon's attacks.
• Try not to use the melee attacks of Darth Vader's Lightsaber against opponents using fast-firing shotguns (ex. the Maven Auto Shotgun or Frenzy Auto Shotgun) since they can easily land multiple consecutive shots and eliminate you.
