Fishing[]

Shield Fish are caught usually in Fishing Holes, but they can be caught in calm waters too at a still decent chance. The maximum size of Shield Fish can be 65cm, the minimum being 35cm.

Functionality[]

Shield Fish are consumed to heal 40 Shield.

Shield Fish can be thrown by holding the Aim button and using the projectile arc to guide them. Once landed, it will ping its location to squad-mates. They are much faster to use than a Shield Potion but offer slightly less healing.

Shield Fish can be consumed while moving.

Obtained[]

Shield Fish can be found by Fishing anywhere. Some versions of it can only be caught in specific biomes, these are only cosmetic differences however. They also have a chance to drop in Coolers.

• Shield fish are better than Shield Potions aside from obtaining them and the amount of healing. This is because Shield Fish can be consumed in one second, and Shield Potions take 5. However, Shield Fish must be obtained by fishing and through coolers, making them awkward to locate, and only heal 40 shield instead of 50.
