X-Wing is a Vehicle in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was introduced in Galactic Battle.
Functionality
Functionality[]
X-Wing is an flying Vehicle, which will automatically move forward. It has a boost functionality similar to an X-4 Stormwing, but can only store one boost at a time. X-Wing has 5 seats: one in the cockpit for the driver and two per wing. The driver is fully protected and cannot be shot at directly when inside a X-Wing. Passengers on top of an X-Wing's wings can freely use items.
When using primary fire, X-Wing will start firing its KX9 laser cannons, dealing 25 damage to opponents, with a small blast radius. After firing continuously for a prolonged period of time, the X-Wing's laser cannons will overheat and will need to cool down before the driver is able to fire again.
Once an X-Wing loses its health, it will quickly descend to the floor. It will not immediately be destroyed, but instead lose a "life", of which it has three. When it lands on the floor with remaining "lives", all players will be ejected, and the X-Wing will start regaining Health until is restored fully, whereupon it will be once again available to enter. If it is on its last life, the X-Wing will fall towards the ground and explode after a few seconds.
When an X-Wing is close to the ground, player can use a specific input to safely land it.
