The Shield Potion is a Consumable Item in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was added in Chapter 5: Season 1.
The Shield Potion is an alternate version of the Legacy Shield Potion.
Functionality

The Shield Potion takes 1 second to start the healing process and is automatically removed from the player's inventory upon activation.
While healing, it replenishes up to 
50 Shield over 4 seconds, at a rate of 4 Shield for the first 3 ticks, then 6 Shield for the next 2 ticks, 8 Shield for the following 2 ticks, and 10 Shield on the final tick. Each tick takes 0.5 seconds. Healing will stop early if the player's shield reaches its maximum limit.
Interrupting the healing process will not restore the Shield Potion, and the player will keep the amount of Shield already applied. The Shield Potion cannot be used at full shield, and can be used while moving.
Shield Potions can be thrown by holding the Aim button and using the projectile arc to guide them. Once landed it will ping its location to squad-mates.

- Always drink Small Shield Potions before drinking regular Shield Potions, as those can be used to get to max shield, but not vice versa. However, if you are in possession of two Shield Potions and no Small Shield Potions, it is easier to just consume both Shield Potions than look for small ones.
- When in a build fight, use the Small Shield Potions rather than the Shield Potion. The enemy could easily eliminate you.

- The Shield Potion tastes sweet, as hinted by Pistol Llana’s dialogue: “A little smoocherino?! Aren't you sweeter than a shield potion!”
- The legacy version of the Shield Potion was intended to return in Chapter 2 Remix and Fortnite OG, as a new IDs were added for each version which use the Clyde codename for Chapter 2 Remix Version and Figment codename for Fortnite OG Version respectively.
