Meat is a Consumable item in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was added in Chapter 2: Season 6.
Functionality
Functionality[]
Meat is used to heal 15 HP. It cannot be consumed at full HP and must be picked up to be consumed.
Meat can be thrown by holding the Aim button and using the projectile arc to guide them. Once landed it will ping its location to squad-mates. It also sticks to objects for a short amount of time.
Meat can also be used to tame or heal Raptors, Wolves and Boars.
Meat is used to craft a Hunter's Cloak, if it is available.

As of Update v30.00, Meat cannot currently be obtained in Battle Royale and Zero Build as it has been vaulted.

- It is better to choose meat instead of bandages for healing, since it heals quicker, can be consumed to full health, and can also create a Hunter's Cloak.
- However, Meat only stacks to 4, whereas bandages stack to 15.

- Meat has a unique consumption animation, where the player bites a chunk out of it.
- Raptor and Wolves will eat any Meat they find on the ground, using it to heal HP. They will prioritise it over attacking the player or animals.
- There is an unreleased Rare Meat in the files.
- There used to be an additional identical copy of Meat in the Creative inventory. It used the WID_NPC_Meat codename and the only difference was that it couldn't be consumed on the move.
- Before Update v29.00 there was no difference bewteen the two version at all.
