The Rocket Landing was a Story Moment in Chapter 7: Season 1 that took place on February 19th 2026 at 6:00 PM EST, with an encore showing on February 28th 2026 at 3:30 PM EST.

The Rocket Landing was a continuation of Chapter 7: Season 1 Story Quests: Stranger and The Rocket Launch Live Event in Fortnite OG.

On July 26th 2025, in Reality: Unknown, a version of The Visitor from an unknown reality launched a rocket from the Villain Lair, which vanished into a red Sideways Rift.

On February 12th 2026, The Looper helped The Order build a transmitter, which was placed under the antenna located near the Battlewood Sign and would be used to send a signal to whoever is left of The Seven.

On February 17th 2026, a Red Sideways Rift appeared above the Battlewood Sign.

On February 18th 2026, the Red Sideways Rift above the Battlewood Sign has expanded, now spanning from Bumpy Bay to Lethal Labs.

On February 19th 2026, a Rocket Landing Site near Classified Canyon was completed, with signal lights being activated to prepare for the rocket's arrival.

The Event

The previously-static red Sideways Rift crackled with electricity before a rocket emerged from it. The rocket immediately began rifting repeatedly to shed the Havoc Energy clinging to it from the Rift, then flew around the Golden Coast for a short time, sputtering as it nearly crashed into Sandy Strip. After passing through a series of Rifts, the rocket finally docked into a loading bay outside Classified Canyon, near where The Order first crash-landed on the Island.

  • The event's codename is "RudeLemon".
  • The event clocks in at a total of 6.4 MB, making it one of the smallest Live Events in terms of file size.
  • As the rocket nearly crashed in to Sandy Strip, The Shape was visibly terrified upon seeing it get closer and sighed in relief when the rocket vanished. The expressions for The Shape were specifically added for the event.
    • It’s possible Sandy Strip was chosen to be nearly crashed into because it holds Lil’ Tilted, in reference to the original Rocket Event.
  • The event was replayed on Saturday, February 28th, 2026 during the Power Hour for players who did not get a chance to experience it.
  • Rocket Landing is the first ever Story Moment to have an encore showing.
  • The sounds used for the Rifts (Aside from the six mini-rifts at the beginning of the event) are all the same Rift sounds used in the original Rocket Launch event, albeit with slight adjustments to each sound effect.
