Ice Storm was a Story Moment in Fortnite OG which took place on February 15th 2026 at 2:00 PM EST.

Polar Peak begins to melt due to winter coming to an end, and it wakes up The Ice King, but also reveals a mysterious figure imprisoned inside ice in the castle's dungeon. The Ice King begins his plan to stop the ice from melting.

- 2:00pm ET - The Ice King's revealed. Weather Warning broadcast on all TVs on the island.

- 2:00pm ET - The Ice King has blanketed the island in snow and summoned Ice Fiends everywhere.

Days after an Ice Sphere appeared above Polar Peak, players noticed that The Ice King was trapped inside. Upon closer inspection, it became clear that the Ice King was holding fragments of Kevin the Cube. As this unfolded, a countdown began to display on all TVs across the Island, signaling the arrival of a snowstorm. When the countdown ended, the sphere cracked open, releasing the Ice King's power. He summoned a large aurora projection of himself while conjuring a massive blizzard, blanketing the entire map in snow and summoning Ice Fiends everywhere.

- 10 minutes before and after the event ended, text appeared that would indicate when player damage would be disabled and The Storm would be pushed away to allow players to better view the event with no issues.
- 10 Minutes left: EVENT PROTECTION STARTING SOON
- Event Ended: EVENT PROTECTION ENDING SOON
- In Fortnite OG, the TVs broadcasting the Weather Warning (while the countdown wasn't present) depicted The Block being on the minimap instead of Risky Reels despite The Block sinking into the ocean.
- The Ice King in the event was most likely the old now-scrapped design of Exalted Ice King's Wrathful Ice King style.
Differences from Chapter 1[]
- The Ice King and his aurora projection look different.
- Due to The Block and Open Soccer Stadium being omitted from Fortnite OG, both Risky Reels and Starry Suburbs Ruins were affected by the snowstorm for the first and only time.

As this unfolded, a countdown began to display on all TVs across the Island, signaling the arrival of a snowstorm. When the countdown ended, the sphere cracked open, releasing the Ice King's power. He summoned a large aurora projection of himself while conjuring a massive blizzard, blanketing the entire map in snow and summoning Ice Fiends everywhere.
To mark the event, all players were granted the Ice Storm Challenges. Completing these challenges rewarded players with 
500 XP per Challenge, a Weapon Wrap after finishing 6, and a Glider after completing all 12.
Trivia

- The event code-name is "Mooney".
- Ice Storm was the first event where Characters were used. While The Ice King was an obtainable Outfit, this was the first instance of a non-player controlled character for Live Events.
- As it was the first ever instance of Events with Characters, The Ice King did not have a proper visual effect for when his action was finished. Just despawning from the air once the blizzard rolls through.
- Viewing the map as the blizzard passes will let the player see Athena get covered in snow live.
