The Unvaulting Event is an upcoming Live Event that will happen in Fortnite OG Season 8. The event date is currently unknown.

The Government creates digsites, which open up volcano vents and fossils. When they uncovered the third digsite, it reveals the roof of The Vault. The Government then heads over to Loot Lake and digs out the central area, revealing the center of The Vault.

- It is currently unknown what choices there will be for this version of The Unvaulting, though it may most likely be the same six options: Bouncer, Drum Gun, Grappler, Infinity Blade, Planes and Tactical Submachine Gun.

The Unvaulting Event (also known as the Nexus Event) was a Live Event in Season 8.
Buildup

The Government creates digging sites, which opens up volcano vents and fossils. They then move to Loot Lake and start digging up, revealing The Vault. Shortly after, Rune Keys start to appear which needs a certain task to be done for it to move.

The Vault opened allowing players to enter, revealing The Zero Point in its orb state, secured and contained. Players were allowed to choose one item to unvault by hitting the item's crystal with their pickaxe until said item was hit enough times. There were 6 options: Bouncers, Drum Gun, Grappler, Infinity Blade, Planes and the Tactical Submachine Gun. Players chose the Drum Gun to return to the game, and it promptly was.
After the Drum Gun was unvaulted, players were were launched out of The Vault and into the air to find that the sky was dark from smoke and ash. The Volcano erupts, shooting out 3 volcanic rocks, which destroy the retail district of Retail Row, crack the iceberg that supported Polar Peak, and nearly destroy Tilted Towers completely, with the No Sweat Insurance building surviving the carnage.
The Ice King later confirmed that The Prisoner was in control of the volcano, and had deliberately aimed for those targets, especially Polar Peak in order to free The Devourer in Fortnite X Marvel: Zero War Issue 4.

- The event did not start properly for a lot of people. As compensation, Epic Games would later gift all the attendants the Arcana Glider.
- A snippet of the Neo World music can be heard when the chosen item is unvaulted.
- Singularity's desk radio can be heard playing OG (Classic) when approached.
- This is the first direct appearance of The Zero Point.
