The Wingsuit is a Uncategorized Item added in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was introduced in Chapter 7: Season 1.
Functionality
Functionality[]
The Wingsuit allows the player to take flight into the air. Upon usage the player gets launched into the air after a short charge-up delay, and enters a gliding state.
When gliding, the player will slowly descend towards the ground. You can accelerate towards the ground and pull up by aiming. The faster the player glides towards the ground, the more they will ascend when they pull back up. By doing this consecutively, the player can travel long distances in the air. If the player descends sharply then immediately pulls up, they do a mid-air backflip which sends the player even further across the skies.
Hitting the ground at any time will pull the player out of gliding state and back to normal, which then puts the Wingsuit under a 20 second cooldown before being usable again.
The player leaves behind a trail of randomly colored smoke when flying, and will leave a cloud of it where they land.
