Rift Anomalies

Functionality[]

All Rift Anomaly effects end shortly after the Storm phase during which they were activated fully closes, unless stated otherwise. Additionally, all elements spawned by Rift Anomalies are marked on the map until they disappear or a specific objective is fulfilled, depending on the Rift Anomaly.

Rift-A-Palooza[]

Spawns several single-use Rifts inside the current Storm circle.

Hide and Seek[]

Standing still or crouching grants the Stealth effect, and damaging enemies marks them. Performing most actions, such as shooting, pickaxing, or Building, wears off the invisibility.

Care Packages[]

Spawns several Care Packages inside the current Storm circle, containing a guaranteed Self-Revive Device inside each of them, alongside a Weapon, Ammunition, and either a Utility or Consumable item.

Gold Rush[]

Destroying and dealing Pickaxe damage to harvestable structures grants 10 Bars. Also applies the Gold Rush effect for the duration of the Rift Anomaly.

Winter Ball[]

Spawns several Winter Bubble Shields inside the current Storm circle, each containing 3 pre-placed Sneaky Snowman and a dropped Holiday Presents!. Hiding inside a Sneaky Snowman or using an Emote heals the player at a rate of 4 Effective Health per 0.4 seconds, with no Health or Shield limit. It was added for the Winterfest 2025 event.

Back to the OG[]

Spawns several Time Travelled Chests inside the current Storm circle, which last until their loot is retrieved, even if the Rift Anomaly is no longer active. It was added for the Back to the Future collaboration.

Stick of Truth[]

Spawns a pedestal with the Stick of Truth on top at one of various predetermined random locations within the current Storm circle. The pedestal remains even after the Rift Anomaly is no longer active, as does the item if it has not yet been collected. If the item is collected during the Storm phase in which it spawned, the Rift Anomaly ends prematurely, and a message announcing "Rift Anomaly Ended" along with the reason "The Stick of Truth has been claimed!" is displayed to all players in the match. It was added for the South Park collaboration.

Friendship Bubbles[]

Spawns several Friendship Bubbles inside the current Storm circle, each containing a Group Locked Basic Faction Chest that can only be searched with 2 or more players or Characters nearby, depending on the match's Team Size (2 for Solo and Duos, 3 for Trios, and 4 for Squads). The Friendship Bubble also blocks projectiles and gunfire from both inside and outside, applies Low Gravity to players inside it, and prevents players within it from damaging each other.

Rivalry Rumble[]

Starts a Rivalry for every player in the match. The Rivalry lasts the usual 5 minutes, instead of ending as the Storm phase fully closes. The Rift Anomaly can start even if the players have started a rivalry from a Rivalry Screen or from a Rivalry Contract dropped by someone else before it starts.

Storm Focus[]

Sets the Storm circle to be centered on a predetermined Named Location for the remaining phases and alters the circle's shape based on the chosen location.

Stabilize the Anomaly[]

Spawns three Rift Tears inside the current Storm circle, each with 2 or more Dark Voyager Drones around it, depending on the match's Team Size chosen by the player (2 for Solo and Duos, 3 for Trios, and 4 for Squads). Once a drone is destroyed, another one will spawn in its place. Destroying a total of 10 drones in Solo, 12 in Duos, 14 in Trios, and 16 in Squads closes the Rift Tear and spawns some loot from previous chapters and seasons, such as the Kinetic Blade from Chapter 4 Season 2 or The Kneecapper from Chapter 6 Season 2. During the Overwatch collaboration, it spawns an Overwatch Cache containing one of several Overwatch-inspired loadouts. While the items drops, it spawns along with a Rift on top. The Rift despawns if not used within 30 seconds.

Elimination Intel[]

Displays all eliminated players on the map and marks players near them.

Feeling Unstoppable[]

Grants Slap , a 1.3x sprint speed multiplier, and the ability to knock back enemies by sprinting into them, dealing 25 damage on impact.

Infinite Ammo[]

Grants unlimited Ammunition.

Superior Sprint[]

Grants a 1.4x sprint speed multiplier, reduces stamina consumption while sprinting by around 26.5%, and heals 1 Health and 1 Shield every 0.05s while sprinting, up to 100 Health and 50 Shield.

The Llamanomaly[]

Spawns three Ridable Llamas inside the current Storm circle. Once approached, the Llamas will flee, dropping Ammunition and Materials. They can be mounted at any time by interacting with or jumping onto them. While a Llama is being ridden, a Llama Taming progress bar begins to fill, completing after riding the Llama for 40 seconds. Once fully tamed, the Llama will turn into a Golden Llama, double its movement speed while being ridden, follow the player when they dismount, drop 250 Bars, and one of several high-tier items. When eliminated, the Llama drops 500 of each Material and several stacks of each available type of Ammunition. The Llamas do not despawn after the Rift Anomaly is no longer active and remain marked on the map until they are tamed or eliminated - in this case, the Rift Anomaly ends prematurely, and a message announcing "Rift Anomaly Ended" along with the reason "The Llamanomaly has ended!" is displayed to all players in the match.

Infinity Blade Reforged[]

Spawns a stone with the Reforged Infinity Blade embedded in it inside the current Storm circle. Once approached, the player is prompted to "Claim the Infinity Blade", and interacting with it starts a 5-second animation of the player pulling the Infinity Blade out. When the weapon is collected, the Rift Anomaly ends prematurely and a message announcing "Rift Anomaly Ended" along with the reason "The Infinity Blade has been claimed!" is displayed to all players in the match.

Payload Engaged![]

Spawns an Overwatch Payload inside the current Storm circle. Once approached, the player is prompted to "Escort the Payload" to their final destination indicated by a yellow and white charging station on the ground of it. When the player interacts with the Payload, it starts moving, and it stops when the player is outside of the escorting circle. As the Payload advances to the end, it drops some loot on the ground. When the Payload reaches their final location, four Overwatch Caches spawns around it on the charging station. When opened, it can drop Overwatch-related weapons such as the Exotic Overdrive Pulse Rifle, the Epic Pulse Pistols and the Legendary Caduceus Staff, as well as non-Overwatch Exotic loot, such as the Leaping-Lightning Gun, the Recon Bow and the Twin Siphon Shotguns. The Payload does not despawn after the Rift Anomaly is no longer active and remain marked on the map, even if it has been escorted to their final destination or not. It was added for the Overwatch collaboration.
