- — In-Game Description
The Bass Boost is a Utility Item in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was introduced in Chapter 6: Season 3.
Functionality
Functionality[]
The Bass Boost features two abilities: Bass Wave and Bass Jump. Each use consumes one charge and a bit of durability. These charges are replenished every 8s after use, with each rarity having a different amount.
- Bass Wave Fires a shockwave that destroys structures, knocks back any players it hits, dealing 10 damage and propels the user in the opposite direction, which consumes 3%/2%/2% of durability.
- Bass Jump Launches the user into the air and negates fall damage, which consumes 6%/5%/4% of durability.
Once the durability meter reaches 0%, the item will break and be removed from the player's inventory.

Strategy Guide
Strategy Guide[]
|
This section outlines a strategy. |
| Feel free to add tips, tricks and general advice about the topic. |
- The Bass Boost is best used as a form of mobility, as the Bass Jump ability is omnidirectional, meaning it can be used in every direction, and can be great for getting high ground in a fight.
- The Bass Boost has three very effective uses when it comes to combat:
- As a way to boost in the air with the Bass Jump ability to perform a "thunder-pump" maneuver with a shotgun such as the Sentinel Pump Shotgun (where you use some form of mobility, launch towards and opponent, switch to your shotgun, and hit a headshot).
- In combination with the Killswitch Revolvers, by using the Bass Jump to get high ground, then activating the Killswitch Revolvers Hang Time ability to slow time and increase accuracy, and hit some high damage shots on an opponent.
- Using the Bass Wave ability to either break builds or get an opponent out of shotgun range in a fight.
Counters[]
- The Bass Boost can leave its user vulnerable when using its Bass Jump ability, so using an accurate weapon such as a Veiled Precision SMG or Spire Rifle to hit an opponent wielding it out of the air can be very beneficial.
