The Shield Mushroom is a Foraged Item in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was introduced in Season 4.
Shield Mushroom has a Mythic version called Golden Truffle.
Functionality

The Shield Mushroom heals the player for 
5 Shield.
Shield Mushrooms can be thrown by holding the Aim button and using the projectile arc to guide them. Once landed it will ping its location to squad-mates.
The Shield Mushroom can be consumed off the ground or be picked up and tunred into its consumable item verison.
