Strategy
Strategy[]
|
This section outlines a strategy. |
| Feel free to add tips, tricks and general advice about the topic. |
- Since the Bug Blaster fires slow projectiles, it rewards timing and accuracy to poke your enemies and secure a kill.
- Also, the Bug Blaster can make a short work against builds and vehicles, including the Port-A-Bunker, and force your enemies out of cover.
- When charging the Bug Blaster into full power, you should find cover to get the jump on your enemies.
Counters[]
- You can easily avoid slow projectiles of the Bug Blaster by sprinting and sliding away from them.

Trivia
Trivia[]
- Bug Blaster is a severed mouth of an Onimorph Bomber. As such, a Bug Blaster is guaranteed to drop when they are eliminated.
- The functionality of the Bug Blaster is likely inspired by the Mega Buster from the Mega Man franchise, as they are both arm cannon weapons that can shoot small projectiles and can be charged for bigger shots.
- Despite having a listed reload time stat, the Bug Blaster does not need to be reload. As such, this stat is pointless.
- Bug Blaster's ID references a nanaimo bar, a Canadian dessert[1].
- Funnily enough, nanaimo bars can be seen in the cafeteria at O.X.R. HQ.
- When Chapter 6: Season 4 released, inspecting the Bug Blaster in the inventory incorrectly displayed the damage stat as 10 times the actual amount for charged shots. [2] This was an issue with all 3 rarities (900 instead of 90, 960 instead of 96, and 1,000 instead of 100). This was corrected in the v37.50 update since inspecting the Bug Blaster in your inventory after this update now shows the correct damage amount for not charged shots.
- The Bug Blaster can be used to get the Boom Boss accolade for doing 1,000 explosive damage in a match.
- This weapon has triple the normal magazine size for all rarities in Horde Rush (90, 105 & 120 respectively) and can’t be upgraded at upgrade benches.
