Trivia[]

• Like its original counterpart, Midas' Drum Gun is modeled after the American M1928 Thompson Submachine Gun. The model often associated with American Depression-era Mobsters, and not the Submachine Gun used in World War II.
  • The fact that Midas is a Crime Boss and uses a Drum Gun is likely a nod to the Mobster association the weapon possesses.
• During Chapter 2: Season 2, Midas' Drum Gun would always appear in-game as a gold plated Drum Gun due to Midas' passive effect of converting held weapons to gold. Furthermore, before Update v26.00 was released, it used the regular Drum Gun icon, and many renders of the gun used by unofficial sources showed the weapon as gold covered like it does currently.
• In Chapter 2: Season 2, Midas' Drum Gun functioned very similar to the pre-nerf Drum Gun, with it dealing incredible DPS and it requiring a nerf when being reintroduced albeit at a faster fire rate.
• As of Update v26.00, Midas' Drum Gun shares the same stats as the other two Mythic Drum Guns: Jules' Drum Gun and Shadow Midas' Drum Gun.
• Midas’ Drum Gun and Jules' Drum Gun have a history of bugs involving each other. These include Incorrect Models, Elimination Feeds, and Names. These likely stem from the fact that Midas’ Drum Gun was converted into Jules’ in the files for Chapter 2: Season 3, requiring it to be fully remade for later appearances.
  • They are also assumed to be in the same folder in the game files, which could be the cause of the bug history with Jules' Drum Gun and could even explain the nerfed stats after v26.00
• Midas' Drum Gun is the first Boss associated Mythic Weapon to be used by two different Bosses during its lifetime, being Revenant Kado Thorne and Midas himself.
• Midas' Drum Gun was remade with a projectile mod-compatible version in Chapter 5: Season 2.
  • And a hitscan version in Chapter 6: Season 2.
    • This makes Midas' Drum Gun the first Mythic Boss Weapon to have 3 versions of itself.
    • Midas’ Drum Gun was not in Creative until Update v36.10, likely due to Jules' Drum Gun and Shadow Midas' Drum Gun sharing the same stats.
• The version of Midas' Drum Gun from Chapter 4: Season 4 was found in the Chapter 3: Season 3 development build, being identical to Jules' Drum Gun outside of the name. It was originally planned to be given to players via an Augment.
