- — In-Game Description
Tracking Visor is a Utility Item in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was introduced in Chapter 6: Season 3.
Functionality
Functionality[]
Tracking Visor allows the player to perform an area scan, which will reveal opponents and containers in a 80 meter radius for 8 seconds. Ability has a 25 second cooldown.
When Tracking Visor is placed in player's inventory, they will be able to see footprints that their opponents left on the ground. Every 5 seconds, a footprint will appear for 1 second, with the color signaling how fresh they are, going from Green to Yellow and finally to Red. Each footprint will appear 7 times (3 times Green, 1 times Yellow and 3 times Red) before disappearing. Dropping the Tracking Visor will remove all footprints and picking it back up won't show the old footprints.

Trivia
Trivia[]
- After using the area scan, a heartbeat audio can be heard. This probably means that, the Tracking Visor uses a heartbeat sensor technology for marking opponents.
- Tracking Visor could have been inspired by the Eyenox Model III, a gadget of a similar function that belongs to Jackal from Rainbow Six Siege.
- The Tracking Visor used to be called "Marksman Visor" when it was viewed in a rank vault case.
