Chiller Grenade/OG

Functionality[]

The Chiller Grenade is thrown at any player to cause them to have the Icy Feet effect. This causes impaired control of movement, but can result in faster speeds and greater momentum. This effect applies to anyone caught in the grenades' blast.

The Chiller Grenade detonates on impact and causes knockback from its impact, applying the Icy Feet effect and knocking players away by sliding them. This effect lasts 7 seconds.

• Hitting players on slopes or near the storm can easily disrupt a fight or even eliminate them by impairing their movement.
  • This is especially true if the opponent is using a speed-enhancing item, as the increased speed will make it even more difficult to change direction.
• A Chiller Grenade is very useful for gaining quick momentum, as it can be used near a steep slope to gain quick speed and traverse great distance.
• You can use a Chiller Grenade on an opponent on a ledge to eliminate them to fall damage, similar to an Impulse Grenade.
• You can cancel the effects of a Chiller Grenade by swimming in water. As such, if you use Chiller Grenades for mobility, try to do so near water sources to cancel the effect immediately if the situation calls for it.
• Don't use the Chiller Grenade before jumping on a Launch Pad, as the sliding effect still applies while gliding without giving any speed benefits.
