MEGA City (or Mega City) was a Named Location in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was added in Chapter 4: Season 2 to the island Asteria.
MEGA City was a vast, modern metropolis that resembled a futuristic depiction of Tokyo. Technologically advanced cars and motorcycles could have been found throughout its streets, while buildings across the city were encircled by Grind Rails.

- MEGA City was brought by the Sideways Rift in the sky from the Rift Gate.
- Stray spawns here as a

Boss.

- Criminal posters for Triarch Nox, Styx and Dahlia were added.
- New sound effects for the fish hologram and 6 new songs were added in some locations.

- One of the billboards on the 繁華街 Tower was changed for the Across the Spider-Verse Collaboration.

- The Planet Express Ship crashed into one of the billboards on the 乞うご Tower.
- The billboard displays now a glitched image of Hypnotoad.

- 繁華街 Tower was taken over by the Eclipse.
- Clubs Dealer was added as a
Boss in the 繁華街 Tower with Low Cards - Nitro Drifters were vaulted.
- Nitro Fangs can now spawn here.
- The Cold Blooded Vault is now open and mostly empty.
- Highcard and his henchmen were removed.
- MEGAメガ Tower Penthouse was updated.
- Floor in the Office Tower is no longer made out of wood.

- At the time, MEGA City was one of the biggest POI ever added.
- This does not take into account Rickety Rig, whose territory was divided into 3 different large islands separated by the sea.
- Over the years more and more huge locations were introduced to the game, like Spooky Suburbs on Reload's Nitemare Island or Battlewood Boulevard on Chapter 7's Golden Coast.
- MEGA City and the bay area around it appear to be based on Tokyo Bay[1].
- The Grind Rails found in MEGA City are most similar to the Ride Rails in Splatoon, the Grind Rails in Sonic, or the Grind Rails from Ratchet and Clank.
- Before Chapter 4: Season 3, MEGA City was the only place on the island where it could rain.
- Most of the levels within the city's taller skyscrapers are inaccessible, aside from the rooftop and bottom floors.
- MEGA City is Evie's hometown[2] and came from Reality: 783, which was properly introduced during Chapter 6.
- Some of the music throughout the location is made by MetaSounds.
- Before Chapter 4: Season 4, MEGA City was the only Named POI on the map that didn't have a Capture Point.
- The Tiger Statue breathes fire every Storm Circle.
- MEGA City holds two possible references to the Mega Man franchise.
- MEGA City shares the same name with a location from the Mega Man series, mainly in printed media.
- The Tiger Statue heavily resembles Gospel from the Mega Man Battle Network series.
