The Luminaries are a research-oriented syndicate first introduced in Chapter 4: Season 1 on the island Asteria. They are a group specialized in technology inventions and in scientific research.

Chapter 4: Season 1[]
Chapter 4: Season 2[]
- Update v24.20 Hotfixes: A saboteur from The Unseen had stolen weapon prototypes from The Luminaries labs. Through teaming up with the Peace Syndicate, they enlist The Looper to help in search for the saboteur using a sensor backpack to discover any information. They learn that their missing saboteur is affiliated with The Unseen, and they gather data on their possible allegiance with The Last Reality.[2]
- Update v24.40: The Rumbles across the Island create concern for The Luminaries, and Mystica's new default response indicates the faction's move to study the tectonic shifts. They align with The Explorers and share the excavation camps to monitor the seismic activity.[3]
Chapter 4: Season 3[]
- Update v25.00: Creeky Compound is enacted as the main research base in the heart of the Jungle Biome. The Explorers, the research-based Faction they're aligned with, send a Convoy to The Apparatus to study it; Trace, a member of both The Explorers and The Luminaries, has already begun to stake out the location.
- Update v25.10: The convoy reaches The Apparatus, and a rudimentary research camp is set up there, fit with various machinery, equipment, and supplies.
Chapter 6: Season 3[]
- Trace shows up in Reality: 783's beaches with a floatie made out of the ocean to relax.
