The Spire

Overview[]

The Spire was a chromium flower bud tower created by The Foundation as a shell to protect The Zero Point. Zero Point is concealed on top of it. During the start of Chapter 2: Season 7, it had been destroyed by The Last Reality and turned into The Aftermath.

Lore[]

The Spire was a tower made out of Chromium^[1]. It was created to seal The Zero Point, contain its destructive blast and then let it heal. In doing so, it unleashed a primal blast across the island. After some time however, and under unknown circumstances, the Spire was corrupted, its core becoming identical to Corruption Cubes. A strange cult appeared, and began to worship The Spire and using dark magic rituals for unknown purpose. They built the Dark Village and prevented anyone to access The Spire or The Guardian Tower. The Spire itself was protected by Spire Assassin, a Guardian from a world beyond reality. It was later revealed that The Spire could give people powers^[2] to those who could survive their encounter with it ^[3], but it would also exploit their weakness^[4] and bend them toward Darkness, just as it did with Raz after he stole a fragment of the core of The Spire, becoming Glyph Master Raz.

In Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point Issue 5, Batman discovers that the Spire extends down to The Bridge and destroys it, freeing The Zero Point that returned to the epicenter of the island. A the beginning of Chapter 2: Season 7, The Spire is blown up by The Mothership and turned into The Aftermath.
