The Fortress was a giant Drill controlled and guarded by Doctor Slone, alongside her IO Guards. It caused Earthquakes around Artemis and was underground during Chapter 3: Season 1.

Doctor Slone has moved to The Collider.

The Fortress had a high powered laser cannon mounted on top of the battle station in an attempt to stop the Mecha Strike Commander's advance, but it was destroyed by the Mecha's Heartbreaker blast.

The Fortress is remodeled into a small Landmark called Drill Hill.

Out of all the named locations, The Fortress is the POI with the lowest amount of chests, ammo boxes and floor loot.
The Fortress is not unique: the Imagined Order seems to mass produce them just like any other vehicle, as multiple Drills the size and model of The Fortress could have been spotted in the sink hole under The Collider during the Collision live event. This probably means that The Fortress is simply the Drill chosen to carry Doctor Slone and the first IO heavy vehicles to reclaim the island and is no different from any other Drill of its type.
